| Personal History | He was born and raised in a fallout shelter in Flint, Michigan. The rats were his only friends. At age 18 he accidentally signed up for Starfleet and four years later accidentally graduated. After being accidentally promoted, he came to be (accidentally) Assistant Chief Engineer for the USS Pandora. So few people know who he is that some people think it's possible he's a figment of Chief Mindo's imagination. He isn't. In fact, he's a member of the Q Continuum, but his powers can only be used when his hair is long. All his life, he has suffered from Alopecia universalis, a rare medical condition in which one has lost all hair. He wears a cheap brown toupee and fake eyebrows. All of these facts come from unreliable sources. Samson is very reserved and doesn't talk much about himself. Occasionally he'll refer to his early years as a surfer and musician in Miami, Florida, but no one cares and it's much funnier to think of him as Rat King of Flint, Michigan. In secret, Samson actually enjoys his given urban legends and thinks of himself as a fascinating man of mystery. He's also a very competent Engineer. |
