| Personal History | Zeve is named after the Bajoran word for "Live", in a derivation. His father is a teacher and his mother a former Bajoran guard officer. He has an older brother Dalka, and they were very competitive growing up when it came to sports and school. However, his brother was much more social and out-going, while Zeve became more reserved as he got older. Both boys wanted to join Starfleet but Dalka didn't reach the requirements, whereas Zeve did. This developed a resentment and distance between the brothers. Zeve joined Starfleet after turning 18 and many of his tutors and told him the same thing - that he was focused, driven, and diligent, however he lacked social warmth and didn't socialise enough. He was often told that Starfleet service meant creating a camaraderie with his fellow officers, and being unable to do so would be a detriment to his career. He tried, multiple times, to put himself out there and find friends, and he did manage to make enough to keep his lecturer's off his back. He graduated after the standard 4 years and had chosen the field of Security - knowing he had the regiment and focus for this department. He joined the USS Saratoga as a Crewman in the Gamma Shift then after 2 years achieved the rank of Ensign. He joined the USS Pandora as a Security Officer after he refurbishment and relaunch in 2395. |
