Personal Log - Encrypted Entry

I seem to be adapting to my life aboard. At first I was disturbed at the presence of a child on board, who I later found out belongs to the CSO. I still maintain that a ship is not the place for children. However the experience left me feeling unsettled, it brought to the forefront of mind the loss I experienced of losing my own child, several years ago, I had no choice to but miss the social event with the other crewmembers.

The additional security measures I asked to be completed for the lab have been completed and I am settling in well, I have arranged to cook for my medical associates and am glad I had my quarters equipped with a kitchenette, all greatly received from my requisition order from Starfleet Science, he did say I could requisition anything I needed.

I haven’t met all of the crew yet, but for the personnel I have met, they have been kind and caring, I can’t envisage any problems and am looking forward to carrying out my duties to the best of my ability. I shall keep regular personal logs and look forward to updating you shortly.
