Mission: A New Day at Midnight
Location: A stellar nursery near the Pandora's travel route

As the USS Gagarin was making its way to the Deftan region, a communique came in from Starfleet with new orders; Commander Cale Llewellyn was being promoted to First Officer on the USS Pandora immediately. So, they were being diverted to rendezvous with the ship at the earliest available time. Captain Uthaal Horan came out of his ready room and ordered the course change and announced what was happening. "This is the captain speaking; we're being diverted to the USS Pandora to offload some 'cargo', our Chief Science Officer is being transferred to it immediately," Horan said. "Though we are sorry to see him go, we're happy for him in his new position. Horan out." He came around the command rail and down the starboard side of the ramp to take his seat at the center of the command seating. Looking to his right and then to his left and smiled at his First Officer.

"Helm, engage," Horan said. Lieutenant Commander Sayera Tol hit the 'Go' button and the ship leapt into warp. It would be a few hours before they met the other ship and so the bridge crew was taking the time to give Commander Cale Jayson Llewellyn their last goodbyes. He was beginning to tear up but was holding them back. He was likely responding to the crew's emotions, as well. Cale was having a hard time blocking them out due to their physical proximity. Once they reached the rendezvous point, the Gagarin slowed to impulse as the USS Pandora closed in and slowed down but did not stop. Commander Llewellyn made his way to the transporter room where they would engage in an extremely tricky transport whereas the other ship would jump back into warp at the instant the transport was done.

He took one last look around the transporter room and said "Energize, Lieutenant," Cale Jayson said and was instantly transported to his new home. Looking at his new Commanding Officer, he said, "Commander Cale Jayson Llewellyn, DSci reporting as ordered."
