[DECK 07, SCIENCE LABORATORY]

One of the injured Science Officers was limp on the console. The air in the Science Lab room had begun clearing and ventilating the dark clouds of ash and chemicals. The force fields did work.

“Up we go,” Tyson bent and scooped up one of the injured officers, helping to carry him out through into the clearing outside in the ship's corridor. The injured officer could barely walk, as his legs were almost dragging him out of the lab.

“Lieutenant.” Brookes gestured to Ashshy to come with them. “Medical bay could use with your help!”

Eiri wanted to help. He picked up one of the female Scientists and started to carry her from the room. "These were the worst of the injured, before the fire started. I am afraid that the fire did not do anyone any favors." He followed Brookes from the room, glad to be away from everything that had been burning. "Thank you so much Lieutenant... I cannot express how thankful I am that you are here."

“I’ve got lots of damage to arms and leg tissue unnhhH….” He grunted. Tyson was propping up the injured lab officer who was in shock and going into unconsciousness. “I need to get to the medical bay immediately.”

“My communication system is still down in this room.” Ensign Scott slapped at his communication badge. He was half carrying, half sliding another injured burned crew mate out of the Science lab, into the clear aired hallway.

The doors are shutting behind. Ashshy used the override lock mechanism in the bulkhead in the hallway, to ensure that the hot room was isolated. The large bulky reinforced laboratory doorway shut with a groan from the standard grips.

"I did not feel that there were any other options," Eiri stated simply, looking between the Lieutenant and the Ensign.

“Your communicator…” Tyson began.

[DECK 06, MEDICAL BAY]

“…Works?” He finished his sentence having transported directly to the suite of the Medical Bay.

“Lieutenant Ashshy you are a ‘Life Saver,’’ Scott mentioned.

If Vulcans had a subtle way to look embarrassed Eiri would be doing that. He sort of shuffled his feet. "I only did what I should have done. I followed protocol. I am pleased that I was able to assist and had experience. At least no one panicked," he said, in way of some sort of awkward explaination. "Is everyone going to be alright?"

The Doctor had reached for the nearest dermal regenerator and begun to work on his forehead to clean up an open shrapnel wound on his forehead. As he was doing this, the warm pink glow of the ion laser regenerator cleared the bleeding down his left eye.

“There we go.” He slapped on a piece of bandage around his forehead to constrict the bleeding wound.

Turning. The nurse was at his side. “Doctor, I’ve got one patient who is dizzy. Presents with a headache.”

“Check Ms. Murphy for oxygen paralaxis. The ship recently had a failure of its bio trioxidants in the system. That sounds like a common symptom.”

"I can take care of that for you Doctor, if you like. I have training in both medical and psychological fields. I have even assisted with surgery... please let me help. I am not injured," Eiri offered. He hated feeling useless when he could do something.

“Thank you. Any help would be great Ashshy. I have two patients here.”

Tyson was standing near the surgical bay biobeds. There were two and were highly advanced computers. Tyson had hoped that the recent knock out to the Pandora’s systems would be allowing the Medical bay computers to do their thing.

Having just transported on the biobed earlier, there was one of the four crew members who was injured in the science labs fire.

“I need a nervous system check. I want a cardiac modelling created. This is Lt. JG Marina Moore. 39 years old. No known issues on file.” Tyson suited up. He used a beam field of light to sterilise him for microsurgery on the burn wound.

“Nurse Doris, meet Ashshy. He is a science officer who has secondary accreditation in the medical triage field. You will be working with him as long as this… This crisis lasts!” He shook his head.

Eiri's mouth twitched a little, like he was attempting to be friendly. "It is a pleasure to meet you. Just point me at a patient and I will do what I can. Doctor would you like assistance or should I start fresh on a new patient?" They did currently have a selection.

Tyson gestured Ashshy to stand nearest the critical patients in the scurrying medical atmoshpere. Dr. Ashshy was well versed in medical proceedures and was on the USS Pandora emergency call lists for help in the medical bay if needed. He was needed. Between Nurse Doris, Doctor Adaestron, who was missing currently. Then there was Ensign Scott and Tessa who were an engineer and medical scientist onboard called to help. However the complexities of the situation were dire.

"Dr. Ashshy please look after wound beds two and four in the post op surgical unit. Nurse Doris will help you prep the patients for emergency dermal resection and level two tissue burns. I will be beside you in case you have any questions. Again thank you for the help." Tyson offered a fatigued, body injured and tired, worn smile. "A doctor's work is never complete."

"Never." Eiri nodded and set to work. He moved to the post op area and washed his hands thoroughly before entering. He checked both patients. The first patient seemed to be recovering well, but the second had low oxygen saturation levels. He checked, with a medical tricorder, to make sure that there wasn't any internal bleeding that he could see and then increased the patient's oxygen accordingly. He would have to return in a few minutes and recheck the levels. With any fire there was always concern about burns to the lungs.

Looking over Eiri's shoulder, Tyson moved in. "Good." He watched as the Doctor thoroughly checked the patient's vitals both visually and physically. "vaxopression trioxide will help the lungs recover, if you can administer that to the patients below thresholds Dr.” He made a note to Ashshy.

Walking into the middle of what was going on Aeryn looked around, she’d heard talk about the science labs fire and was concerned about Tyson she breathed a sigh of relief as she saw him on his feet and working with patients. The downside of being in a relationship was she couldn’t show how she felt whilst they were working, she nodded politely to Eiri as she approached them there wasn’t much she could do with her arm still out of action but she offered anyway, “Is there anything I can do?”

Eiri nodded politely to Aeryn. He could feel her relief when she laid eyes on Tyson, his Betazoid side never letting his mind rest. It was a relief to him to feel that from her, even though it had nothing to do with himself. He took a deep breath slowly. He had been surrounded by pain and panic for hours now, that the feelings that the Counsellor had toward Tyson was like a breath of fresh air over raw emotions. He looked at her and then Tyson and mentally smiled, but said nothing.

"Counsellor." He kept up his professional front, not as a demeaning course of conversation, but it helped to focus on the emergency at hand and that was why Tyson was interested in Lieutenant Jameson. She knew how he worked. She understood him. Rather than some of his ten years ago dating back on Earth in the late 1980s, did Tyson meet someone as understanding as Aeryn.

"Can I have you hand out thermal blankets. Many of the electrical patients are in shock. The warmth will negate any hypothermia development." He offered a quiet and softening split second gaze her way, that showed Aeryn he cared deeply for her.

"Of course," Aeryn nodded and offered a warm and caring, yet barely noticeable gaze, to anyone who wasn't looking for it, of her own. She couldn't help but be worried about the blood that she could see on Tyson's uniform although thankfully she couldn't see sign of a wound which meant he'd probably already had it treated. She did as she was asked collecting thermal blankets a few at a time and handing them out as best as she could, her gaze returning to Tyson every now and then. Turning to go back and get more blankets she almost bumped into Eiri. "Sorry..." she stepped aside out of the way.

Eiri smiled just a little, it was very subtle, but it was still a smile. "It is alright," he nodded. He also missed Ayan. All of this adorable, yet subtle caring for each other made Eiri miss his husband. He was going to have to find Ayan soon.

"Just a little distracted." She smiled. "I'll pay more attention to where I'm going from now on." Nodding politely, she collected the last of the blankets she needed and handed them out. By the time she was finished her arm was starting to ache. Taking a seat, she decided it would probably be best to wait and have it checked.

As time progressed over an hour, Eiri, Tyson, Aeryn and the medical staff were slowing down. The science laboratory patients were sedated, and the burns had been cleaned and surgically repaired with dermal regenerators.

A few patients had issues with oxygenation, thanks to Dr. Ashshy having detected and helped clear up the problems.

“Thank you both. Dr. Ashshy, I don’t know how to thank you for your effort today. You must be exhausted; your lab is in pieces.” He turned to the Vulcan who showed little emotion on the outset. Although, Tyson always spoke to Vulcans as if they were fully capable of expressing emotion.

Eiri nodded. "You do not have to thank me. People surviving and rescue from the fire is more than enough. I am merely doing my duty by this crew. Would it be alright if went to my quarters? My mate... was there..." He was worried.

After excusing himself, Tyson made his way to the corner of the medical bay. Lieutenant Jameson was sitting on one of the biobeds holding her arm in its temporary nano metal casting.

“You're liable to charge me.” Tyson pulled out his medical tricorder from his cargo shorts. He had changed into a fresh pair of a baseball tee and shorts from his drab surgical and medical uniform.

Aeryn smiled, "Why would I do that?" She grinned as she looked at his off duty clothes.

“Patient neglect. I should have fixed this for you since the start. I am so sorry,” he stated sincerely. “You shouldn’t have to go through that.” He pulled out a tray and metal cart over towards Jameson’s left side of the bed.

"This was my fault remember? I wanted to get away and help out now I've learned my lesson," she looked at him with concern. "Were you wounded? I saw all that blood on your other clothing."

He shook off the wounded question. "It was nothing that wasnt repaired. The last he had wanted was for Aeryn to be concerned and stressed.

"I was worried," she smiled as she rested back on the biobed and lay her arm out for Tyson to work on it.

Tyson began with unsuiting the surgical support cast on Aeryns forearm. “This won’t hurt.” He started heating the cast with the tri-phasic laser. The metal nanites unlocked and expanded to the point for Aeryn to be able to remove.

“There we go..” He slowly slid out her arm, letting his hands run down the now freed skin.

He had Aeryn laying along the biobed as he then scanned with his medical tricorder, he looked at her and then the tricorder. The bone fragmentation in her forearm seemed completed and fit.

The osteoinhibitor agent he then loaded into the hypospray Tyson gently pressed it to her forearm. “There. Stay in Sickbay for an hour and your arm should be as good as new.” He smiled.

“I want to follow up on your charts too regarding the holodeck incident. That snake venom, I still need to see what it could have done to your dna and cardiac systems. “Nothing serious, just follow up work.” He assured her no worry.

"I trust you. ." Aeryn grinned, "..but is there a possibility of permanent damage?"

Tyson shook his head "Negligible. Your arm is good as new from this point on... Lieutenant." He coughed, and winked.

Aeryn couldn’t help but grin, Tyson had his ways of being professional and personal with her all at the same time needless to say she was looking forward to their next evening together.
