A Mission Post by Lieutenant Krysia Kaleri
Mission: Divided We Fall
Location: Krysia & James’ Quarters (XO’s Office)
Timeline: Current

Having walked out of Nyx’s Office Krysia had headed straight back to her & James’ Quarters her emotions were out of whack with all the hormones running through her body thanks to her pregnancy and all she wanted to do was scream. She couldn’t believe Nyx had demoted both herself & James over her being pregnant, she didn’t care about herself but it was a different matter where it concerned James.

She looked at a picture that James had brought up to display in their quarters of himself & Nyx with his family, “Some friend you turned out to be Captain!” she lay the picture face down on the desk to avoid the temptation of throwing it.

Walking over to the temporary bedroom setup in a corner behind a screen in the office she took off her uniform and tossed it into a corner, up until now that had meant something to her but at the moment it meant very little. She’d handed in her resignation and no doubt Nyx would refuse that but she didn’t care as far as she was concerned she was a civilian now but she’d still do her bridge duties as not to would put extra strain on everyone else.

As for sourcing everything she needed for the baby she already had a case of bits and pieces from her quarters and she knew there was some wool amongst it somewhere that clothes could be made out of plus her uniforms could be made up into something for the baby too after all she wouldn’t be needing them. As for the rations for now she’d manage on what she had, if she needed more later then she’d sort it then but she didn’t want to deprive the crew of their food in her eyes it wasn’t fair.

She sat down on the sofa wondering what Owen would have to say right now, no doubt he’d be a fountain of wisdom for her but he wasn’t here and she really didn’t know what to do. Nyx had been right in some respects they didn’t know what lay ahead of them but at the same time they couldn’t just sit and wait for their lives to pass them by either.

Realising how much stress she must be putting on her baby by dwelling on it all she lay down and attempted to relax a little, letting her mind drift to happier times in order to try and let some happier memories brighten her mood. The last thing she needed was for the baby to suffer the effects of too much stress, it wasn’t long before lack of sleep and current events caught up and she slowly fell asleep.
