Having left Owen’s Office Krysia headed for the Counsellor’s office, she was hoping to get her office sorted but wasn’t sure if Aeryn had even had chance to move her things out yet & she didn’t want to be rushing her out of the office if she wasn’t ready. Stepping through the door to the office she smiled as she saw Aeryn inside busy packing her last few things.
Aeryn smiled as she greeted Krysia, it was going to seem strange to be working out of an office in sickbay as Assustant Chief Medical Officer but it was a challenge she was ready to face. “I hope I’m not holding you up” she looked at Krysia.
“Of course not” Krysia shook her head, “I’ll wait until you’re ready before I move in we’ll also have to sit down together and go over the Counselling appointments you already have arranged and compare notes on others that you were due to arrange. It should make for an easier transition that way.”
“That’s a good idea” Aeryn nodded and smiled as she looked at Krysia curiously, “Am I sensing what I think I’m sensing about you? There’s a certain....duality going on that I haven’t sensed before, last time I sensed it I was stood next to a pregnant woman.”
Krysia smiled and nodded, “Your senses are as accurate as ever Aeryn. Tyson confirmed it for us, I’m just over four weeks. Which means....I have morning sickness to look forward to kicking in sometime soon!”
“You do indeed” Aeryn smiled, “Congratulations! That’s wonderful news!” She motioned for Krysia to take a seat, “I’ll willingly volunteer to be your new doctor provided Doctor Ashshy is happy with it I’ll speak to him regarding the matter.”
“Whichever one of you Looks after me you’ll have your work cut out for you!” Krysia’s smile faded a little, “It seems I have a rare blood type, Tyson has me on a regime of inoculations several times a day no doubt he’ll have updated everything you need to know in my records.”
“Don’t worry...” Aeryn placed her hand on Krysia’s, “We’ll take good care of you & your baby Krysia rare blood type or not so don’t worry about that. I don’t intend my first pregnant mother to have any problems or worries so if you have any worries come & see either myself or Doctor Ashshy and we’ll sort it out Okay?”
Krysia smiled and nodded, “So I’m your first time at dealing with a pregnancy?”
Aeryn nodded her head, “You are but that doesn’t mean I won’t know what to do. I did the same medical training as the rest of the medical staff, as did you so you know what we’re trained in.”
Krysia nodded, “Do I ever! I hated that simulation of the birth of a baby at the Academy it scared me stiff! I still managed to do it though.”
“I know what you mean!!” Aeryn grinned, “Some of those simulations were pretty real and gory too!”
The two sat laughing as they reminisced about their training days.
“Anyway...” Krysia smiled warmly, “I’m going to have to let you get on while I go and start packing the last of my things for transfer to our new family quarters!”
“In that case I’ll let you get on” Aeryn smiled, “Any problems with your morning sickness when it starts come & see us & we’ll arrange something suitable for you. Give it another couple of months and you’ll be able to have your first scan too.”
“Can’t wait...for the scan that is!” Krysia grinned, “Not so much the morning sickness.”
Aeryn grinned, “No heavy lifting of any boxes Okay.....let the transporter chief do the moving of boxes between quarters for you.”
“Agreed” Krysia nodded, “Let me know when you’re done here and I’ll come back & start organising the office.”
Aeryn nodded “I should be done within the hour and then I’ll be out of your way.”
“In that case I’ll let you know when I’ve got everything done & we can get our heads together about that Counselling schedule.” She headed for the door.
“Will do” Aeryn turned to get on with her packing, “See you then.”
