Krysia was busy making her office feel a bit more comfortable and homely. A few comfy, soft cushions here and there, a lamp or two for softer lighting and a few homeiy touches with souvenirs spaced out on the surfaces. Plus a small amount if toys and teddies for any younger visitors. She was standing back looking at the finished office when the door chime rang.

Standing out by the door Louis waited patiently, he wasn't in any rush. He smiled politely as the door swished open and Krysia greeted him. "I'm sorry to intrude on you Lieutenant."

"Intrude? Don't be silly!" Krysia smled warmly. "Come on in Louis. It seems like ages since last time I saw you."

"If we discounted the bubble that statement would be true." He managed a smile. "Can we talk?"

"Of course!" Krysia motioned for Louis to have a seat. Even though the events in the bubble weren't really real, at least to everyone else, she considered the man who delivered both her children to be a close friend.

"I'm finding it....hard settling back into this life." He sighed as he sat down. "I lived a life, hell I delivered both your children and your granddaughter! Not to mention numerous others. Yet here...it all stands for nothing, because as far as everyone is concerned it never happened."

"I know." Krysia offered an understanding smile as she sat down in a seat opposite him. "I've heard the same thing said by others that returned from the bubble with us, it's hard for those who didn't experience it, to believe that anything happened to us. That we lived that life, but we did."

Louis offered a more relaxed smile. "I still remember delivering your first baby. That was the first time I'd ever delivered a baby! You didn't make it easy on me either!!"

Krysia grinned. "No I didn't, did I?" Her smile faded a little for a moment as she thought about her children & granddaughter before she brightened up again. "Well now I can start all over again, I'm hoping the delivery of this baby will go a LOT easier!"

"Wait....you're pregnant?!" Louis looked at her surprised. "I didn't know that one."

"Well now you do Louis" Krysia grinned. "I would have no qualms with you delivering my baby again, if you wanted to that is."

"Anytime!" Louis grinned as he relaxed back in his seat. "I feel like I'm an old hand at delivering babies, as far as my official medical career here goes I haven't delivered one!"

"I know" Krysia nodded. "The best we can do is to put what we remember and what we learned about ourselves to good use. That's what I intend to do. I made a mistake in that life that I never want to repeat."

Louis nodded understandingly. "Would that be a certain instance concerning Dorian Rochester?"

Krysia nodded. "It is, I let my temper get the better of me and I shouldn't have. I won't repeat that mistake, or rather, I won't make it the first time around, if that makes sense?"

Louis smiled and nodded. "It does to me. Anyway...I wasn't intending on keeping you for too long." He stood ready to leave. "Thanks for listening to me Krysia."

"That's what I'm here for Louis, just remember you're welcome anytime. Besides I'm ship's Counsellor now so it's part of my job too."

Louis smiled and nodded. "Put your feet up and get some rest Counsellor!"

"Yes Sir!" Krysia grinned as Louis headed out of the door. Sitting down she grabbed some padds and put her feet up to read them.
