Having boarded the Palatine Krysia made her way to the guest quarters she’d been assigned, crew didn’t usually get to use the guest quarters but as she was only transferring she’d been lucky enough to be given a guest room. Locating her room she walked inside and put her bag down on the sofa, first things first she was going to freshen up and put on a clean uniform instead of her civvies.
A few minutes & a shower later, Krysia was sitting on the sofa looking over the USS Palatine’s specs she had to admit she was fascinated by the ship she’d never been aboard this class before. The Pandora would be like just home to her as she’d served aboard a Luna class before, she had to admit she was wondering just how Owen would view her arrival aboard the Pandora, this was the third ship she’d served on with him and that was simply because she was trying to get to know her half-brother the only problem was he didn’t know and she’d have to find a way to tell him.
She sighed wondering exactly how to explain that his father had fallen foul of something that she didn’t really know how to explain, a telepathic connection with her mother that had had never been intended that had him completely smitten so much so it had resulted in Krysia herself after what, for all intents and purposes, had been a one night stand. Hence the reason why Krysia’s father didn’t know he had another daughter she hadn’t yet met Owen’s sister but she hoped to one day and her father too.
In the meantime she was now the Chief of Operations and not the trainee, she always remembered how nerve wracking being the trainee was she’d remember that when having new people in her department and try to be considerate in just how hard she pushed them to do their work not that she intended to be someone who was hard to work for.
Pulling out the PADD she had in her bag she looked over the details she’d been provided with on the Pandora and it’s current mission, she wanted to make sure she was up to speed and wanted to look at it from every angle. She’d also requested assignment as the ships Archaeologist/Anthropologist as the ship currently didn’t have one and she was certainly qualified to do that although she’d be happy to hand the role over if Starfleet assigned someone else to the position. In the meantime she wanted to make sure she knew just what she was getting herself into so she sat back and started reading.
