Krysia had to admit Tyson knew his job, having headed for the Palatine's sickbay they'd walked in on Lieutenant Celes who was enjoying a few minutes pace and quiet whilst sickbay was free of patients the Bajoran officer had greeted them expecting to find patients instead of two spare people wanting to look around. She had to admit Celes had been quite gracious with Tyson pulling out nearly every piece of equipment he could find to show Krysia how it worked. She had to admit she found it fun just to be getting to look around somewhere without being expected to fix something or organise something, as was the life of an Ops and/or Engineering officer.
Once they'd finished mucking about and tidied everything away again Krysia said her goodbyes and headed for her guest quarters, it'd been a long day what with transferring to the Palatine, helping out on the bridge for Captain Tao and her meeting Tyson now she was feeling tired and somewhat irritable. Her head was thumping and she was feeling more tired due to the fact that she hadn't yet caught up with the last lot of sleep she had felt she needed this time she was planning on getting some proper sleep.
Walking inside her quarters she reached inside the sleeve of her uniform pulling out a small hypospray she'd managed to sneak out of sickbay, a neural inhibitor she'd come across whilst exploring everything with Tyson she'd waited for him to turn his back before sneaking it away. As much as she hated to use inhibitors to block her senses she needed a good nights rest or she'd be no use to her new Captain once she transferred aboard the Pandora as she'd be too tired to think straight. Heading for the bedroom she changed into her nightwear and brushed her hair before using the hypospray it only took a few moments to work, all the voices in her head disappeared as did the senses of everyone's emotions leaving her alone and as any telepath or empath would testify it was a scary sensation. She had to wonder how humans and non-telepathic/emapthic races coped with the silence.
Sliding underneath the bedcovers she closed her eyes, the hypospray would only work for a few hours so she had to make the most of the time she had to get the much needed sleep she wanted. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep...
In her dreams Krysia's thoughts drifted to an overheard conversation between her mother and a family friend back on Drax, her mother had always been on her side where coping with her 'gifts' as her mother put it was concerned whereas others had their doubts on just how a child who was part of a species that didn't have abilities would cope in the future. Her mother had always argued that Krysia was strong enough to cope and would continue to do so no matter what, but she'd seen the concerned looks her mother gave her every now and then. It was enough to make Krysia herself concerned whether or not she'd actually continue to cope. She'd seen the asylums on Drax that housed those who'd been driven insane by their abilities, the thought of that scared her more than anything else but for now her dreams were peaceful and so was her sleep.
