Krysia made her way into sickbay for her appointment with Tyson, she was feeling a little less worked up now she'd spent a few minutes talking to James but her headache still wasn’t gone. Walking to Tyson’s office she smiled as she peered around the door. "Hi Doc, I'm here for my appointment." Walking into sickbay she popped herself up onto a biobed.
"Welcome back Lieutenant," Tyson checked over Krysia with his medical tricorder, scanning and checking various bio levels. Banal for a Doctor. Essential. I'll warn you now my readings might be up a little."
"Why would that be?" He raised an eyebrow, holding the tricorder scanner above her head.
“I had an argument with Owen" she sighed, "he was being my big brother & I lost my temper..." she shook her head, "I shouldn't have got annoyed I couldn't help it." she massaged her temples for a moment, "..and now I've gift a headache."
"Your big brother?" Tyson questioned. "How many headaches have you had since last?"
Brookes accessed the medical station and punched up a program designed to extract root DNA from the Cardassin rolva shrub. The amino acid complexes from the root DNA in the shrub counteract, inhibit the pain receptors in humanoid brains. Culturing and replication formed building blocks of amino acids from filing researches in the medical bay. Brookes worked on 'Bromcrin407' a federation standard data base drug name.
"It's the first one I've had a little while actually" she smiled as she thought of James, "there's something I've been thinking about, that mini stroke you said I had would it have any long term effects? what I mean is... would it effect a pregnancy?" she noticed the look Tyson gave her, "no I'm not pregnant & I don't expect to be but events lately have just made me think about having a family in the future."
"You have a bright future. You are healthy. As long as you have therapy with the ships Counsellor regarding these episodes with your psi powers, then I think you will be in good hands. Whether you have pharma therapy as well as other stress reducing methods a birth in this environment is quite alright." He crossed his arms and leaned back and gave the Lieutenant her medication.
Krysia relaxed as her headache started to ease off “Thanks... that’s much better, I spoke to Counsellor Jameson earlier she wants me to go back and see her again when she has more time available, so how long do I have to keep coming by sickbay for these check ups?”
"As long as you feel that your headaches are being well taken care of. I can link you up again with the sick bay computers and have the sensors detect your blood pressure, bio stats, etc." He slid over his med pad and was ready to add to the patients chart work.
She nodded, “Guess I should have listened to my mother when she told me I needed more time to learn about my abilities” she shrugged her shoulders. “Have I told you how much I appreciate what you do for me, you have been kind & patient considering how awkward a patient I’ve been!” she grinned, “Thank you Tyson.”
He felt bad when she had thanked him. He had missed the first time. The original stroke should not have happened to Krysia. "Not at all, don't you ever think you have to say you are sorry, I am here for you as a duty to your health and crew. And you as a patient likewise have a duty to seek health and embrace health. Which you are doing quite well. Good for you and I will challenge that you will get better." Tyson gestured, and then took the hypo spray tapped the drug into her carrotid artery, through the skin hypo.
Krysia gave her neck a rub it wasn’t painful having a hypospray but there were times when the pressure required was uncomfortable. She gave Tyson a curious look as she sensed a hint of guilt at her having said thank you, “What happened was my fault Tyson” she got down off the biobed, “I pushed myself too hard it wasn’t your fault.”
She placed a hand gently on top of Tyson’s hand for a moment and offered a warm smile, “You saved my life I won’t ever forget that” with that she nodded politely to the nurse who was nearby and headed out of sickbay.
