Krysia was sitting curled up on the bed with her head resting on her knees when she'd felt the bed move and James' arms wrap around her as he sat down next to her. She lay her head against him as she tried to explain... "If none of it ever happened, how can we remember it?, I see their faces, I remember holding them when they were born...." she sighed a deep emotional breath, "I want our children & our granddaughter back James! I don't care what they say, to me they existed & I'll never forget them!!"

James held her tight as he tried to hold back his own tears, the loss of his children was tearing him apart inside, but he knew he had to be as strong as he could for Krysia. “I want them back too.” James replied. “I can’t believe that life never really happened. I miss them so much too, but while we have those memories we need to think about now and what we can do to get through this”. Standing up James started to walk toward a small cabinet and open the door while looking inside he said, “We can start by making a life with each other, you have been the light at the end of my tunnel and I want to grow old and have have many children with you.”

James turned around as he picked up the ring he had kept from his wife, walking toward her he sat next to her and opened up his hand.

Krysia had watched as James walked over to a drawer & pulled something out before bringing it back to her, as he opened his hand her eyes widened in shock & surprise as it revealed a beautiful ring, her heart was beating like she'd never felt it beat before as she looked back at James, "Is this... for me?"

James nodded, “Yes, it belonged to my wife and I want you to have it. Krysia you mean so much to me and I would be honoured if you would marry me.”

"James I..." she looked at him as she wiped away tears, only this time they were tears of joy not sadness, "..YES!" she smiled as she looked at him, "Are you sure you want me to have your wife's ring? I know what it must mean to you."

James nodded, “It would mean a lot to me if you had this ring, I love you so much and I really want you to have it. I held onto it just in case I found someone I could give it to, and I would be honoured if you would wear it”

Her heart was still beating like crazy as James handed her the ring, placing it on her finger she was surprised just how well it actually fit considering it hadn't originally been made for her. She held her hand up and smiled as she looked at it, "I've never been able to explain how I've felt so drawn to you but I've never felt so sure that I'm meant to be with you" she looked at James but up until now her own pain had blocked her senses to how much pain James was feeling inside at the loss of their children & granddaughter "I'm sorry... I didn't think about how you're feeling, you lost them all too and here you are making me feel better." She smiled as she gently touched James' face before kissing him. "I wish there was something more I could do..."

James smiled warmly, “Well, considering our other reality never happened according to others, I would like to start a family with you. Maybe we can try for that daughter and make her a reality for both of us.”

Krysia smiled warmly as she looked at James she didn't need to think about her answer, "I'd like that... I'd like that very much."

Smith smiled, “You have made me so happy, so should I talk to Owen about you and I getting married and should we see if Nyx could marry us, unless you have a preference.”

"I don't mind" Krysia smiled as she looked at James, "It would be nice for the Captain to marry us after all he is your friend" she looked at the ring that now adorned her finger, "I was just thinking..." she paused to lie back on the bed, "maybe we could spend some time trying for our baby? when you're feeling up to it that is."

James joined her on the bed and said, “I’d like that...”
