Krysia was sitting stretched out on the sofa staring into nothingness, she felt like she'd lost so much even though the timeline in the bubble had never actually existed. She'd woken up cuddled up in bed with James but couldn't get back to sleep so rather than disturb him she'd quietly left the bedroom and gone to get herself something to eat & drink. She was glad she had James but both her children were gone and she felt like a mother who'd lost her children in some freak way but the fact that Tyson had confirmed that she was now pregnant for real made her feel a whole new hope. She wiped away the tears that were in her eyes as she heard the door chime & called whoever it was to enter, normally she'd sense it but her emotions were doing a good job of blocking her senses.

Owen walked inside and gently over to the sofa and took her hand in his. "Hey sis, how are you doing?" He asked. "Its good to see you awake finally... You had me worried..."

"Hi Owen" she lay sat for a moment before suddenly getting up and throwing her arms around him laying her head on his chest. "I thought I'd lost you, all the years we were in the bubble I had to get used to the fact that you were gone & I'd never see you again!" she wiped her eyes again as she let him go.

Owen was surprised by how tight Krys held him but he could tell straight away that something was wrong as well as feeling the she had been through a lot.

"I told you from the day you admitted to me that you are family, I'm not going anywhere," he said as soothingly as possible. This was a difficult time for her and he wanted to help. He looked up for a minute to wipe away her tears.

"Your back now, safe and sound and back home," he said happily.

Krysia smiled as she sat back down “I am glad to be back....not that we really went anywhere” she sighed, “I just wish I had Aurora & Nick here with us” she looked at Owen who was looking confused, “Aurora & Nick were my children, your niece & nephew” she bit her lip trying not to cry. “There was also Samantha....Aurora’s daughter my granddaughter. We lived out our lives in that bubble Owen, there wasn’t just my children there were others too.”

Owen was trying his best to understand the situation that both Krys and James had suffered whilst inside the Bubble Universe. Whilst his efforts had been to get them home, he'd had no idea of what they had been through. "It must have been a terrible experience for you...whilst days passed for us trying to get you home, it seems time must have passed more quickly for you..." He tried to offer as a way of understanding.

She nodded, “It was a lifetime for all of us. Those of us who survived...” she looked around then back at Owen “The Captain was murdered, Rochester shot him. Fick...we think he killed himself & Cailus died too. I thought I’d lost James at one point too.” She looked across to James who was resting on his biobed before looking back at Owen. “I’ll provide you with a full report of what I can remember.”

Owen leaned forward and took her hand in his gently. "Theres plenty of time for that later," he said. "We're on a course to Paradise Station and once there we'll get some R&R. In the meantime, rest up and feel free to speak to me whenever you want when I'm off duty," he assured her.

Owen was fully aware that this was going to take some time for Krys to get over and he wanted to help her out where he could. "You're not alone," he said.

Krysia fiddled with the ring James had given her, "I know..." she smiled and held out her hand, "James asked me to marry him & I accepted. There aren't many people who can say they've lived through one lifetime together and I want more than anything to do it again with James for real." she wanted to tell him about being pregnant but something inside made her hold that one back for the moment.

Owen smiled with her announcement out in the open. "Congratulations, thats wonderful news," he said. "This will help you a lot. Taking the positives out of whats been a difficult time will help keep you both strong...and it gives me someone elses support to keep an eye on you," he laughed.

"I've missed you Owen" she smiled warmly, "I lost you once now I'm going to make the most of having you back!"

"Well, this ship was my home once and I'm lucky enough to be calling her home once again. I'm lucky enough to have family on board now and having a brother in law adds to the family," he explained.

Krysia grinned "I'm glad you approve Owen & I know James will be relieved that you're okay with him being engaged to your sister."

"Its my pleasure, if I can help out anyway I can then let me know," he said.

"Owen....is there a way to find out who was responsible for the death of James' wife & daughter? I know there would have been an investigation back when they were killed but I want answers for him and seeing that..." she pointed to a picture on the side of James' wife & daughter it was spooky to see a woman in the picture who looked exactly like her, "...I feel drawn to finding out the answers."

Owen looked at the photo that Krys pointed out and was wary about her question. "I suppose there's always a way to get in touch with JAG to see what the outcome was and what evidence was used....however this would probably be something better put through the Captain," he cautioned.

"However, re-opening investigations can often be something that leads down a difficult path..." Owen had been in this position before and was wondering about Krys thoughts on pursuing this line of investigation.

"I honestly don't know what's best Owen, it's just....I wish I had some answers for him it's a nightmare that still haunts him & with taking on a new wife..." She looked at her ring, "I'm just worried it'll concern him even more. At the same time I don't want to drag up old memories that will torment him either!"

"Give him time, focus on the engagement and the future wedding... You'll both be busy planing those after all," he urged. "Let the two of your make your own memories together and I'm sure that James will then deal with his own or share with you what he feels comfortable to share," he explained.

"Maybe I should leave it for now especially after everything we've been through" she smiled at her big brother, "I'm glad to be back I just wish..." she trailed off not wanting to sound like a broken record that kept repeating itself."

Owen could see that things were still taking a toll from her time in the Bubble Universe. "I understand. Give yourself time...once your back on your feet then start looking on the positives and making sure you work through the negatives. I'm here as well."

He knew that losing the children from the Bubble Universe was difficult, hell any parent losing a child was in a difficult place for a long time but however he also knew that Krys was strong and would make her way through the pain. Having James around helped her and would help her out a lot.

Krysia smiled and nodded, "I will Owen I promise."

Owen stood up and pulled his duty tunic tight before heading over to Krys. He gave her a tight hug before stepping back. "I need to head off to see how repairs are going... I'm not far should you need me," he said. "In the mean time, its good to have you back," he said

“Owen....one more thing” she paused for a moment, “How would you feel about....being an Uncle?”

Owen stopped short and turned around. "An Uncle? Does that mean what I think it means?" He asked carefully.

“Tyson confirmed it” she smiled. “I’m about four weeks.”

Owen ran back to Krys and gave her a big hug. "Congratulations sis, thats brilliant!" He said. Owen held on for a moment before letting go. "I really have to go right now but I'll be back later to celebrate with you and James," he said

“I’ll hold you to that!” She grinned, “Now get going I’d hate for you to be late.” She watched him go sitting with a silly grin on her face that would no doubt be there for sometime to come.
