Aeryn had enjoyed her evening with Mindo, admitting the drinking game hadn't really been the best for her but she hoped it hadn't spoilt it for Mindo. She smiled warmly as she looked towards him, "I have had a wonderful evening Mindo! you've really cheered me up tonight and I appreciate it." she spun around on her barstool "How's about you walk me home? I'm sure there must be something in the replicator I can offer you as a night cap!" she grinned.

Mindo was surprised by the invitation, but said yes anyway. He was never one to say no to a night cap. "Are you sure this has been a good evening?" Mindo asked as they made their way to the

"Actually....Yes I did" Aeryn smiled warmly, "I wasn't sure I would but you've managed to cheer me up quite nicely Mindo and I appreciate it." Stepping into the turbolift it didn't take long to reach their deck, stepping out Aeryn looked at Mindo curiously, "If I was to listen to rumour...not that I do...I probably wouldn't have said Yes to that evening out quite so eagerly. Not that rumours about you are bad, in fact quite the opposite rumours put you in great stead with the ladies onboard ship that you have...shall we say...visited?" she grinned.

Mindo shrugged. "I'm fully aware of my reputation," he said. "It's been the same everywhere I go. There are just... things about me that can't change."

Arriving at her quarters Aeryn walked inside motioning for a Mindo to join her, “Come on in Mindo I’ll get you that nightcap I promised” she walked over to the replicator and replicated a couple of drinks bringing them back to the coffee table and putting them down. She sighed as she sat down, “I have a nice evening out then come back here and realise how lonely it is” she picked up her drink & sat back in the seat to sip it. “Sorry I must seem a real bore sometimes Mindo” She smiled warmly as she looked at him, “I have enjoyed myself very much and I have come to see a side to you that I haven’t seen before...” she found herself staring at him for a moment before she looked away & found herself staring at her drink instead.

Mindo looked up from his drink. "Oh? What side is that?"

“The opposite side to the one I normally see” she smiled, “On duty you’re all business & work the serious side, now I’ve seen the relaxed & fun side to you. The one that normally gets you an undeserved reputation.” She smiled warmly & sipped her drink.

Mindo smiled. "I take my duties seriously," said Mindo. "It's curious, though. I tend to have a more cavalier reputation. Perhaps you need to look more closely."

"I know you have a fun reputation Mindo, It's just not one that I've been around to witness before I'm usually the indoor wallflower!" she grinned, "Thank you for getting me out for a little while to stop me wallowing in my own misery!"

"My pleasure," Mindo replied. "Tyson was a good man, and I know he made you happy. But these kinds of separations happen all the time in our line of work. I had someone... on the Tornado... and I never got to say goodbye. I don't usually care about something like that. My race is not known for attachment. But I'd give anything to see her again. She was... different."

"I'm sorry Mindo, I had no idea" she moved to sit beside him automatically offering an understanding hug as she would any friend hoping Mindo wouldn't mind. "Haven't you managed to find anyone else you like?"

"Oh I like plenty of people," Mindo replied, turning to face Aeryn, absent-mindedly putting his hand on hers. "There are lots of people here I like. It's different for me, though. I don't like things getting complicated. I get... distracted. Some people don't like that... actually, most people don't like that."

"You get distracted because you care Mindo..." Aeryn smiled as she placed her other hand on his, "There's nothing wrong with caring." she found herself staring at him, "Besides what's wrong with things being....complicated?" Before she knew what she was doing she was leaning across giving Mindo a kiss.

Mindo brought his hands up cradling her neck gently as he returned the kiss, gently opening his mouth and tenderly touching his tongue to hers. His right hand immediately moves down her side to her waist, pulling her closer.

Aeryn found herself responding to Mindo bringing her own arms around to hold onto him as she let the kiss lead on to a whole lot more. As the kiss parted she smiled as she looked at him. "Would you like....to stay?"

Mindo brought his other hand up and smoothed back a bit of her hair. "Perhaps we should move to somewhere a little more comfortable?"

Aeryn nodded and stood, waiting for him she made for the bedroom sitting down on the edge of the bed she looked at Mindo as she motioned for him to join her.

Mindo met her, wrapping his arms around her and unzipping her top, his face buried in her neck and shoulder, kissing it softly, feeling the resulting goosebumps as he caressed her.

Aeryn closed her eyes as Mindo kissed her she was enjoying every second & every touch, her fingers moved to his top helping to undo it and remove it. She didn't care where this evening led all she knew was she was enjoying this as her fingers gently ran through his hair encouraging him more.

As they laid on the bed, finishing their undressing, Mindo absently felt for the light switch above the headboard and switched the lights off, the darkness enveloping their act.
