Dinner and drinks at the Luna Eclipse was always a nice evening activity. A fun place to share pub food and hard drinks among friends, John and Aeryn were enjoying various appetizers and cocktails as the cacophony of bar patrons filled the room.

“How was your day?” he asked while enjoying a plate of pan-fried scallops.

“It was...okay I guess given the grand scheme of things.” Aeryn smiled as she enjoyed her scallops too.

John noticed that her class was empty, and his own had only a mouthful left. He downed the drink. “Want a refill? I’ll run to the bar and get one.”

“Please!” Aeryn smiled and nodded. “The same again.”

With a smile, he took their empty glasses to the bar. He returned them to the bartender and asked for two more of the same. That’s when he heard it.

“John? John Sandoval?”

He turned towards the source of his name and grinned. “My goodness. Adira al-Aziz!” Before him was a woman as beautiful as he remembered when he knew her years ago. About his height, tan skin, and rich, dark eyes, Adira al-Aziz had been a great friend, as well as one of the ones that got away. “How long has been it?”

“The hospital?” she suggested. “After Chin’Toka?”

Indeed, it had been that long. John Sandoval and Adira al-Aziz were on the same squad aboard the USS Belleau Wood during the war. On the front lines, they’d served, fought, and killed together, lost friends together, and found precious moments to remind each other what it was like to feel alive. They were both injured in the crash that grounded John for the rest of the war, but she was in fighting shape within two weeks. They’d parted after one last night and he hadn’t seen her since.

“I didn’t even know you were aboard Pandora,” he said. “You look fantastic.”

Aeryn sat waiting for John to return, she was wanting her drink but more so John’s company. She was starting to get fed up with sitting alone when she saw Declan across the room sitting alone. Wiping her face she put down her napkin and got up. She smiled as she walked over to where Declan was sitting. “Hi, you all alone?”

Declan smiled. "Aeryn!" He got up from his seat. "We keep running in to each other. I've been meaning to contact you."

Just then a friend, human walked up and smiled.

“Oh I’m sorry!” Aeryn looked at the woman, then back at Declan. “I didn’t realise you had a date.”

Declan blushed. Shaking his head, he looked at Elizabeth.

“I’ll go and leave the two of you to it.” Aeryn smiled politely and headed towards the table she’d been at before seeing John still talking to the other woman. She sighed and headed out of the door instead, it looked like she’d been forgotten about anyway.

Roderick had caught up with Aeryn down the hall. He was a bit worried. "Hi. Aeryn. Elizabeth is a cousin of mine, we just happen to be on the same vessel. Small Fleet isn't it?" He laughed.

Aeryn smiled. “It certainly is! I never thought I’d see you again.” Last time they’d seen each other their time had been spent down on a beach and tucked away in a beach hut having passionate fun for the most part. She’d never imagined they’d see each other again.

"What part me saying 'keep my horgon' didn't you understand Aeryn?" He joked playfully. She had always interested him in many ways. She was kind, selfless, funny, smart, witty, playful, sexy, and above else, she set up the temp in his bed.

Stepping into the turbolift she stood looking at Declan, before the frustration of the evening and the memories of the last encounter had her made a sudden decision. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately.

Declan delighted in the passionate initiation. Aeryn always had surprises. "Aeryn!" He grinned large and surprised. He watched as the decks were winding down to a public destination. He had wanted to dive back as he jolted, wrapping around a forearm, sneaking back Aeryn in for a kiss back as passionate and welcoming!

As John and Adira spoke, reminiscing about old times and updating each other on the years in between, he looked over and saw Aeryn leave, with the new Chief Ops Officer following.

"Friends of yours?" Adira asked, having noticed his eyeline.

"She was my dinner date," he answered. "I guess I should've checked in with her."

"I didn't mean to distract you," she said. "Do you need to deal with that?"

John thought about it a moment. On the one hand, he felt bad if he made her feel forgotten. But on the other, she clearly had someone going after her. Maybe they're old friends? Something to ask later. "She'll be fine. She'll understand that I found someone I'd not seen in fourteen years." He lifted his glass to Adira. "So, how is your family?"

~ A few minutes later ~

Arriving at her quarters Aeryn couldn’t help but encourage Declan inside. She’d planned a night of passion of John but lately he’d seemed more interested in other women again, as much as she wanted to have him all to herself it seemed he wasn’t going to change his ways, and he was still a married man. Her attention turned to Declan, no sooner were they inside the door then she was kissing him passionately again, her fingers working on his clothing.

"What's with all this excitement?" He reached grinning, holding the backside of Aeryn, taking around her waist, lifted carry to seat her on top of the sturdy desk in her quarters... Declan was leaning in, his six o'clock shadow rubbing against Aeryn’s soft, supple, sweet-smelling cheeks and lips.

Breaking the kiss... "You got protection?" He asked hornily. Declan was not going to waste this nice to see you again fun with Aeryn.

"In the bedroom..." Aeryn looked towards the bedroom door.

Declan let upward turned grin, as he snorted outward. He walked forward eying Aeryn, wrapping his forearm around her waist. The gentle curve sloping lower, feeling her wamth to his body.

"I want to be with you again Aeryn." He smiled. "You were my best friend, where did you go?" He asked inwardly to his own self. he smelled her hair along side her neck and ear, as he held her close to him and then he tossed her on to her bed. Declan took a commanding easy strut to splay his legs out atop and holding, hugging Aeryn with him, underneath him. His eyes looking in to hers.

Aeryn looked up into Declan’s eyes. “I was reassigned, I wish I’d had the chance to see you beforehand.” She reached her hand for her contraceptive hypo, using it she put it back down before looking back at Declan. “Now I have protection.” She smiled as she gently pulled him down for a passionate kiss.

He kissed back in to Aeryn's mouth sensually tasting her. He broke their kiss. He was estatic to be able to be with Aeryn once again, after so long. "I... Well. That's a future talk perhaps?" He furrowed a brow at Aeryn.

“Perhaps” Aeryn smiled and nodded. “Right now I just want to forget everything else and enjoy my time with you!”

Roderick grinned Wickedly... "And I myself Dear... I want to Relive every second..." He felt his hands downward Aeryns body. Feeling her so warm and close once again, the way she had always felt to him, silky smooth soap.

"I want to …" He bite along her neck and brushing his canines gnawing at her skin, grating it, suckling on her neck, while Roderick suited his hips up downward...

“Then why don’t you!”

~ Sometime Later ~

Aeryn was lying on the bed, the sheets partially wrapped around her and Declan. It was just at that moment that the door chime rang ...

"Company?" He reached for his jeans.

John had finished his conversation, which had turned into a couple of cocktails and some appetizers, and decided to go find Aeryn. The computer said she'd returned to her quarters, so there he was, waiting for her to let him in. She might've fallen asleep.

Aeryn slipped out of bed and put a dressing gown on before heading for the door. Answering it she looked awkwardly at John, before motioning him inside.

"Uh, Sir?" Roderick was half in his pair of jeans and half out of them shirtless. He stood there confused as to the situation presenting his self. He found his self in a lovers quarrel maybe?

"Ah, Mr. Roderick," John said with a smile. "I'd heard you two had a history. Didn't think it would be rekindled quite so quickly, but it is what it is." He hobbled to the replicator. "I'll leave you two be but I need some water first. I've had a good amount to drink tonight and do not want to feel bad in the morning."

Aeryn looked at Declan then back at John, the fact he wasn’t angry about her being with Declan just reaffirmed her suspicions that they’re relationship wasn’t important to him anymore. “So that’s it!? You’re not even angry!?” She gave John a look that said exactly what she was feeling and she had no doubt he’d be feeling her anger through the bond they shared. “You don’t even care do you!??”

"Of course I care," he replied, water in hand. "But I can care for more than one person at the same time. I just assumed you can too. But here's my question. You thought it would make me angry, and now you're angry that I'm not. So I wonder...did you do it with intent to hurt me?"

“No I ...” She stopped and frowned. “I didn’t ... I wouldn’t ... I was just ...” She looked at Declan then back at John. “What do you want me to say?”

"Nothing," he said calmly before finishing his water. "If you want to talk about it, then come find me in a day or two, once things have calmed a bit. I have an early call with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tomorrow so I'm heading to bed. Night Aeryn. Declan." Without another word, he recycled his empty glass and left Aeryn's quarters.

Declan hadn't met with Aeryn for a long time, and they sure had spent it worth the while. "Aeryn." Declan paused, gathering his thoughts and throwing on his tee-shirt. He looked at Sandoval. Aeryn was beautiful. There was no reason to see why she should not enjoy herself with as many possible men as she could. Same for Declan.

"I didn't know…" He paused and then looked at Aeryn. "I'm going to go. It doesn't feel right now that he's angry." He motioned to Aeryn's quarters' doorway. He would be back, though.

Aeryn looked to Declan. “Declan ... thank you.” She wasn’t sure what else to say, perhaps she had been trying to anger John right now she didn’t know.”
