Having actually had a good night’s sleep Krysia had made her way to her office & was sitting at her desk in her office going over reports and catching up on what she could when the door chime rang. “Come in”

Owen made his way in after Krysia called out and stood before the desk...the desk that was previously his. "Good Morning," he started started. "I see you've made yourself comfortable in my old office..."

She smiled warmly as Owen walked in, “Owen... sorry Commander" she paused embarrassed at having dropped her professionalism just because he now knew who she was "it’s good to see you again Sir, what can I do for you?"

Owen realised that things would be a little difficult for his newest sibling to adjust to so he made sure he wasn't too hard on her. "Its ok to call me Owen when we're meeting in private...I just wanted to see how things were progressing with the recent repairs and maintenance," he enquired. He took a seat opposite her desk as Krysia held up a PADD she was reading

“I was just going over the reports, inertial dampeners took some damage but they're under repair it’s a good job the Palatine is here to resupply as we definitely need it. Shields took a pounding Lieutenant Mindo was telling me engineering had their hands full so I’ve already been down there & given the Lieutenant an extra pair of hands repairing the power relays in the Jeffries tubes."

Owen nodded in agreement as she read out some of the required parts needed during the ongoing repairs. "I'll put in a call with Captain Rao, I'm sure he won't mind lending us a few spares and replacements," he explained. "It sounds like you've got a handle on things already," Owen observed.

“I had a good teacher!” she grinned at Owen, he’d taught her most of what she’d learned aboard previous ships they’d been on together now she was the head of the department. “I plan to live up to expectations.”

Owen smiled as he was impressed by her already high standards. "Damn, I do that good a job already? I'll need to watch out for my job too," he quipped. "You'll do fine on board the Pandora and she'll give you plenty of challenges to keep you occupied...but thats good practice for any good Ops Officer or Engineer," he advised.

Taking the chance to mention their recent conversation, Owen wondered how Krysia felt now that she'd had a chance to talk to him. "So, do you feel better now that you've been able to be open with me about our family matters?" He asked.

"Much" she nodded grinning like a Cheshire Cat, "I've been walking around with a silly grin on my face ever since, if you don't mind me asking what about the crew? What I mean is do you want them to know about me being your sister?"

Owen smiled. "Krysia, we're on a Starfleet vessel, trust me when I say that soon it wont be that much of a secret or burdon for you to carry... Just stay professional thats all I ask." Owen explained himself clearly. He was happy he had another sibling out there but he also didnt want her to have a difficult life on board.

Krysia nodded before putting down the PADD she was holding to massage her temples, her headaches weren't choosy about when they appeared and it annoyed her that they were completely random.

"Headache or are your abilities playing up?" He asked her gently.

"Sorry?.." she looked at Owen, "I didn't quite catch what you said."

"Its ok, I was just asking if you had a Headache or if your abilities are playing up?" He asked again.

"It's okay" she smiled as her headache eased, "I'm already under the care of Dr Brookes, he seems to think my headaches are stress related, that & the fact that I'm still adjusting to being aboard a ship with so many minds onboard he's got the computer keeping a check on my vitals just in case of any problems."

"Well from what I understand, your in good hands with our new Chief Medical Officer, he's very skilled... Just be careful ok? I dont want you pushing yourself too hard as a Department Head," Owen warned gently. "Your a good officer, but dont go running head first into the role."

Owen stood up as he could see that Krysia was going to be busy for the next few hours. He walked around to her side of the desk & kissed her forehead gently. "Besides, if your a real good sister, I'll introduce you to my partner Janet..." He offered before making his way to leave.

"You have a partner?" she looked at Owen in surprise that was one thing she'd never known about him, "all the time I've known you & I never knew you had one. So tell me more is she nice?"

Owen turned round in the doorway. "Oh Janet? Oh... You have no idea but I'll arrange for you two to meet up once we've both spoken with Dad," he explained before turning to leave.

"That sounds like fun" she grinned, "I'm sure there'll be some stories I can tell her about you & some she'll be able to tell me."

Owen raised his eyebrows. "Listen she doesnt need anymore stories about me, she has enough on me after we served on several ships together already...," He admitted.

"You seriously think I'd be so devious brother?" she grinned a wry grin, "it would never cross my mind."

Owen smiled as he prepared to leave. "From what I've seen so far, I think yiu would," he chuckled. "Have a good day Lieutenant... And dont work too hard," he warned her before making his way onto his rounds.
