Timeline: The Day before arrival at the Indigo Sky

Having woken up alone in James' quarters Krysia picked up the note James had left her saying he'd see her for dinner that evening. She smiled as she sat up and looked around she could certainly get used to waking up in his quarters, getting out of bed she quickly put on her dress from the night before and headed for her own quarters to change.
-- A little while later --
Krysia was busy checking over the pile of PADDs that had mounted up on her desk, everyone in Ops had been busy working their lives away and she had to admit she was impressed with their caliber of work and the fact no one had complained or pestered her about anything.
Owen was finishing up on his rounds for the day and decided to head over to Operations last on his list. Things had been a bit rough recently between the two of them but he was also aware that siblings often had rough patches...something he was going to have to get used to again, on board the Pandora.
“Commander...” she smiled as she looked up at Owen, “what can I do for you?”
Owen took a seat as he explained the reason for his visit. "I'm just completing my rounds now that we're underway again from Salvaxe and I wanted to see how things were going on in Ops," he explained.
“Well it looks like everyone in Ops has done the jobs they were required to do” She motioned to the pile of PADDs, “I promised Lieutenant Mindo some spare hands to help in engineering so I’m sending some people down.” She shook her head and sighed as she dropped a PADD on the floor.
Owen saw her drop the PADD and looked at his step-sister. "You look tired, did you have a difficult shift or a difficult night?" he asked.
“I had a long night” she couldn’t help but grin to herself as she picked up the PADD before looking back at Owen.
Owen couldn't help but smile as he teased her a little. "Was that another long night with a certain Chief Intelligence Officer?" He asked. He was already used to the idea that Krys had met someone and was a little happier about it having seen them both around together.
“It was" She looked at Owen and smiled, “It wasn't fair of me to shout at you before you were just doing what brother's do."
"I'm glad you finally realised," he said. "I know you havent been on board long and you settled in pretty quickly both on board and with Lieutenant Smith but I care, thats all," he explained afterwards.
She smiled, “I guess that & certain people have made me realise I do need a big brother to watch out for me after all.”
"Well it does have its advantages you know," he said. However despite their agreement on things, Owen was also learning that it was better for them to get along. "Especially as your brother is also the Executive Officer."
"Indeed... Sir!" she grinned, "To be honest I can't wait to go and see our father with you... while I think about it is there something you haven't told me?, I just get the feeling that there's something you're holding back."
Owen stood tall for a moment. "I'm looking forward to that too..." He began, being reminded of the last time he spoke with his father...about himself, The Atlas... "Yeah I'm looking forward to a visit," he repeated.
"The downside of having an empathic sister you get away with nothing" she grinned, "whatever it is you're holding back you don't have to tell me now I'll wait until you're ready to tell me."
Owen nodded in agreement. "They are things you should know, but now is not the time for discussing them...but there will come a time when its appropriate to have a talk," he said. He could tell by the look on her face that Krys knew there was more to it, but she didnt pry.
She picked up another PADD from the pile on the table, "I'd better get back to these reports or I'll never get them read."
"Indeed, I have a few reports to get completed before we arrive at our next destination," Owen explained as he turned to leave. "I'll let you carry on."
"Owen..." Krysia smiled as Owen looked back, "Thank you"
Owen smiled. "No problem," he said before nodding his farewell and heading off to his own office to complete the pile of work waiting for him.
