Krysia was standing looking at the probe that she & Mindo had been ordered to prepare to be launched she turned to look at Mindo, "Given the gravimetric eddys and currents that the sensors picked up we might have to boost the power to give the probe a better chance of getting through. There was also a mention about adding extra plating to protect the probe's outer casing, it would probably help but we don't want to add too much weight to it or it's going to play havoc with guidance."

"Guidance won't be a problem," said Mindo. "It's the boost in power you talked about that worries me. This probe has a long way to go, but we don't want it exploding before it reaches its target."

"Good point!" Krysia nodded as she stopped to think, ""Could we rig a detachable booster to it that would drop away once it gets far enough away to continue on it's own?"

"That's a possibility," said Mindo. "I could rig up an auxiliary thruster, then program it with a delayed activation."

Krysia nodded, "Sounds good, let's give it a try. I'll get on with sorting the sensor range, I'd like to try and get as wide a field of scan as we can get with what's going on out there."

Mindo nodded. "Zo and I will work on the thruster. Shouldn't take too long."

Krysia grabbed everything she needed and got to work, with the job soon done she looked across to Mindo, “I’ve got the field about as wide as I can get it.”

Mindo finished locking the external thruster tight into place. "I'm done here," he said.

“We’re obviously not going to get a test run so we’ll just have to cross our fingers and hope it works,” said Krysia.

"Let's load it up," said Mindo.
