Aeryn had accompanied Tyson back to sickbay pretty much in silence, she was still processing what had happened in the transporter room she couldn't help but feel something very, very horrid had happened but she couldn't really process it fully without a true idea of what it had been.
From a biobed Tyson had begun giving electrical shocks to the officer's body and ailing heart. The ECG levels were beginning to level out now... He rubbed at his forehead, and then the levels of computer stats and graphs reading out on the patient.
Ensuring that the patient was stabilized with heart drugs, Tyson handed off the infirmary keep to the nurse.
Wiping his hands clean under a sterilization station in the medical bay, Tyson spoke up as he was near Aeryn. "What's got your thoughts?" Tyson asked her.
"Sorry?" she looked at Tyson, "I'm sorry....I was just...." she shook her head, "I don't know...I just can't make any sense of what's in my head." she took a seat on one of the biobeds knowing that Tyson would want to make sure that she was completely alright.
Tyson stood near the bio bed crossing his arms with open listening ears. He had the computer beginning to read out her bio stats just like the others. She seemed jittery, which was comparable to the 87 mmol of Cortisol hormone in her blood.
"It felt like....someone died" she looked at Tyson, "I've only ever been inside the mind of someone who was dying once before, fortunately I was pulled out before he did but this had the same feeling....a life being pulled away...." she shivered as a cold chill ran down her spine.
"Death." Tyson sounded both intrigued and confused as hell. "There has been many reports on death and dying from medical literature, most of it being inconsequential." He was trying to put this in his brain and process it.
"When you felt this negative death, could you pull away? You are here today. Could you sense any life? Such as the crew members?" Tyson pulled out a energy bar and then handed it to Aeryn as well one. They both drank some vitamin rations.
Tyson furrowed at the break of rations. "I'm sorry. I can't cook."
"That's okay" she smiled as she looked at him before suddenly dropping what she had and clutching at her head, it felt like there was something wrong with her implants. "Tyson...." her head was thumping and spinning all at the same time she cradled her head. "....There's something wrong!"
Tyson jolted up from his chair, witnessing Aeryn hold her head in pain and agony. Brookes as an appendage of his self he always had a medical tricorder holstered at his right handed waist. Craddling Aeryn beside her in her chair, the other side of the desk in medical bay, he couldn't understand what was happening.
"HELP!! I NEED..." He reached his strong forearms, and bulked back shoulders utilizing his strength scooping Aeryn into his arms in a bridal carry from his office to the next room of the sickbay. Carrying Aeryn as quickly as he could he brought her in to the stasis suites and regeneration unit. Tyson lay Aeryn into the unit carefully.
The scanning medical bay computer begun to display various red warning signs flashing off on the monitor. There was an issue with Aeryns implants.
"I need four vials of Isopronin, Ultrazix... " He looked at the computer determining what levels of the powerful drugs he would be using to sustain Aeryn, to the point he could get her sustained into the unit itself. "Derazyanox... RIGHT NOW ASAP" He shouted angrily. He didn't understand what was happening. There had begun a fleury of activity of the nanites entering biomechanical failure. The Computer was stating that there was a deactivation of nanites within the bloodstreams of Aeryn's body. This mean't there was no servicing her Borg implants, directly having an effect to her body vital organs.
"Isopronin, Ultrazix and Derazyanox..." Adaestron sat the vials down on the surgical unit table near Tyson. Tyson immediately calculated the hypospray and inserting the serum into Aeryn's blood stream. The serums were often used and developed for Borg implants and a multitude of neurological issues associated with borg implants on the human body. He would want to ensure that the borg implants were deactivating, only to have the synthetic medications take over and ensure she doesnt die.
Aeryn was convulsing within the bio stasis unit. Having Adaestron calculate the serum levels, having entered them into the bio stasis computer, Aeryn had begun to slow down from within the glass domed unit.
Inside Aeryn's body the remaining Borg implants were struggling to function, the number of years Aeryn had wished she'd been able to get rid of them and this was the very reason she'd had to keep them in the first place.
"Computer initiate a level II phase static pulse within the bio statis chamber unit." he punched in the numbers that were highlighting the complex nodle connection. "I believe, Adaestron that Aeryns implants are now being supressed by the body. Prior they were going haywire, now we need to rework them..."
=<>= Level II Static Phase Pulse Articulated =<>= The medical bay bio statis overhead computer replied.
"Computer target patient borg implants surrounding nodle networks and re-align pulse ratios in titanium, metal hydrite compounds..." This would allow Aeryn and her life sustaining organs to begin working on their own temporarily.
=<>= Computer ready, target emitters prepared advanced stage =<>=
"Computer initiate pulse". Just then the main overhead medical bay computer emitted a blue, particlized beam at the bio statis unit. From within the unit Aeryn was jolted as if she was being used by some 21st century paddles. Her body slumped over in the bed. Seeing this made Tyson's own heart skip a beat inside. While he was entirely confident of his planned proceedure to revive Aeryn soon, the pulses and heart stop was needed to re-start the bio rhythm for Aeryn, disrupting her implants temporarily.
His eager eyes searched the screen above the bio statis unit. He waited. He begun to lean forward at the med bay screen. The heart monitor, the levels of body enzymes were all showing indescriminate indicators at just what was happening inside Aeryn. She was nearly 1/3 borg technology, albiet completely suppressed... He sweated.
Inside Aeryn her implants were 'rebooting' from their disrupted state to a reset state resetting to their original parameters and as they did so they set to work doing what they were made to do tending to and creating implants from the inside out. Implants started to appear on her neck and in various places around her shoulders as the nanites worked off of what was already there to copy.
Tyson rubbed at his head in concentration. The Doctor had taken many courses in Federation Medical Corps., involving the applications, workings of the implants and how incredibly complex the Borg technology were.
"The implants are fluctuating," he had his hand held out with a dura spanner, as Aldaestron handed him one. "Just to cover the mylar sheath pathways in the second nodule of the third chest line..." He was working on a naked Aeryn. Below was a screen for privacy of course.
Tyson began to innoculate the growing 'pathways' of nodules being created by the nanites. The Bio Stasis unit had half of the shield open for this operation. "I...." He watched upward at the bio stasis screen. The indicators had begun to show the plasma outputs of the implants lower to that of a hibernation status.
"It's it.." He exhaled, looking at the bio stasis readings and then back at Aeryn, as the minutes, turning into a half an hour went by and her 'recovery' of the nanites were taking hold.
A while later Aeryn slowly started to stir, at least her headache was feeling better but she didn’t recall much else of what had happened. According to Tyson her nanites had gone into overdrive, putting it in simple terms, but he’d gotten them back under control and back to their normal function of tending to her internal implants. The only problem was she was now sporting a few new implants that would have to be removed at a later point once things had settled down. For now she would have to learn to cope with looking at new implants whether she liked it or not.
