Previously...

In the emptiness of the transporter pads there came a single blue speck of light. It hung tantalising in the air, like a small beam of hope. Soon it was followed by another, this one stronger and brighter. More came, speck by speck into existence as Mindo carefully reconfigured the millions of particles back into whole forms. Slowly they began to take the shape of body - arms, legs, a head. Before their eyes a person was being brought back into existence and Mindo's precise calculations and deft skills were making it happen.

Owen smiled as much as he could let on. "Nice work Mr Mindo," he said, watching as the process neared completion.

After what felt like a lifetime, the transporter process was near completion and the watching crew waited with baited breath as clear features began to form. Dark hair, a built male frame, long legs. The uniform was black with yellow... no, orange... No, red shoulders. Finally there was a bright gleam from the millions of little specks coming together which quickly faded away and there on the pad lay the unconscious body of Captain Nycolas Temple.

Owen wanted to jump for joy as he saw his friend and CO complete on the Transporter Pad, however there was time for that later. "Doctor, if you please," he ordered. Looking over at Mindo, Owen continued, "Mindo, start bringing the other crew members back as well, please."

Finally, there was progress and the strong likelihood that the Pandora would find her missing crew again.

Continuation...

With Nyx safely back aboard the Transporter Pad, Owen watched as the on site Medical staff carefully moved Nyx in his unconscious state to Sickbay. As soon as they were clear, he walked over to both Eiri and Jameson.

"How are you two holding up?" he asked carefully.

Aeryn was massaging her temples, "I've got a bit of a headache but I'm okay, Sir."

"I am fine," Eiri replied.

"If your both up to it, as a safety precaution I'd like you to remain here and try to monitor who is being beamed back before they reappear on the pad?" he asked. At this stage, Owen wanted every precaution in place now that they had one of the family back.

"I can manage that if Doctor Ashby is happy to stay," Aeryn smiled warmly.

"I have no problem staying," Eiri responded with a little nod.

Owen also looked at Doc Brookes as well. "I'd be really happy to hear your thoughts on this?"

Tyson was covering the transfer of recovered patients to the Pandora Medical Bay. Having the Captain lay down carefully on the hover bio bed, Brookes was still using his tricorder. He could barely have a chance to respond to, or even hear Owen's question.

"At this moment the tricorder is reading that the CO is catatonic. There is no movement of his eyes, no reflexes of his sympathetic responses." Tyson looked at the readouts and placing a hypo spray to the neck of CO, Temple. "We need to determine if the Transporter Buffers has left their brain patterns in a catatonic or transporter psychosis. At this point I need to study the others."

Owen nodded and agreed with Brookes. Something wasnt right with Nyx and if it meant any of the others that were brought back were also affected, they would need to find out why. After consulting with the others Owen looked over at Mindo. "Mr. Mindo, if you would kindly begin beaming back the next member of the crew you can retrieve," he ordered.

"Yes sir," replied Mindo as he carefully navigated the controls, being extra careful. The pad shimmered again and Mindo soon recognized the form of Vecon Fick. For a second, his heart jumped, and Mindo realized just how much he'd missed the little guy, and how much the rascally Risan meant to him, jerkwad Klingon boyfriend or not. Mindo breathed a sigh of relief when the transport completed and Fick was home, safe and hopefully sound.

Aeryn's eyes widened as she sensed the energy she'd picked up on in such distress had been that of Fick, something terrible had happened and she'd felt it yet here he was without a scratch on him albeit in an unconscious state. "It was you...." she watched as Tyson's team took him away.

Tyson again ushered along the volunteer medical crew with Fick. He was another catatonic non-responsive crew member. The readings of his brain patterns were not like the other members, they had seemed more unusually structured... "Keep Fick ready for an isolation bio bed, I don't understand."

Next to form on the pad was Lieutenant Griffin.

Happy to have extra support, Tyson couldn't help but recognize the gruff man who had the bio mechanical arm. Sitting and then laying down Griffin onto the hover stretcher, he was whisked out into the hallway. Half a gaze at Griffin's bio mechanical forearm, Tyson wondered if there would be any circuitry within that would date and age the amount of 'time' the crew were within the buffers and question if they experienced time differently.

Rochester was next, and there was one more.

Sitting and then laying the comatose patient, Tyson then began to corral the bio beds down the hallway and to an industrial turbo lift for heavy equipment. The crew members had begun to fill up the medical bay.

Mindo completed the transport of the final missing crew member, an officer he wasn't familiar with (But damn! thought Mindo for a second as the young Yeoman, Takada, took shape. Mindo made an effort to brush aside his attraction and keep his focus on the control panel.)

Ensuing crew members were transported from the main buffers. Every crew member being energized onto their pad had become unconscious. Brookes and emergency medical staff, were carrying each new energized crewman onto the anti gravity stretchers. The crew members were laid as if they were resting...

Each new crew mate was scanned and logged their vitals as soon as they were beamed from the buffers in the room. Tyson furrowed his brow, as each one of the crew members showed brain activity that was comatose or some sort of transporter psychosis.

Eiri had been checking each person as they brought them back, as well. All of them remained unconscious. There was something bothering the small science officer and when he was certain he went to Commander Nash. "We still have one more hurdle, Sir," he said softly to Owen so as not to alarm anyone else around them.

Owen walked over to Eiri, concerned that there was something else to deal with, but necessary to overcome. "What would that be?" He asked quietly.

"I am not feeling anything that make these people who they are... almost as if they are still missing..." Eiri started to explain.

"Sir..." Aeryn looked at Owen as she walked over to where he and Eiri were talking. "When I was... wherever I was, I sensed something..." She shook her head. "I can't explain it very well it's still a jumble in my head but I sensed something was very, very wrong and I got that sense again when Lieutenant Fick was brought back through. I think it was him I was sensing, but it felt like... he died."

Owen stopped short for a moment. "Died?" He asked. "Mindo has just retrieved him from the Transporter Buffer, albeit unconscious... How can he be dead?"

"It is very much like their consciousness is somewhere else, Commander. I'm not sure where that is, but it is not with their bodies. These are bodies," Eiri explained to Owen. "Neither Captain Temple nor Lieutenant Fick nor any of the others have any... thought processes going on. No emotion, no dreams. Just like the other we had return."

Owen looked gravely on the situation. "Well, lets hope there is a medical reason why they are like this... and we find it soon." The weight of the timeframe he was under from Rear Admiral Li was a heavy one. Whilst the entire number of missing Bridge crew were finally returned back to them, their comatose state left worrying questions for Owen. The clock was ticking before they needed to head out and he wanted to have this question solved.

Aeryn was busy massaging her temples, so much so she almost tripped over Tyson as she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. "Sorry, Doctor"

"You okay, Lieutenant?" He had raised an eyebrow at Aeryn, while he was using his medical tricorder on one of the retrieved. "You feeling okay?" He could tell she was experiencing some sort of headache.

"Whatever I touched... felt, has left me with a fair headache." She shrugged her shoulders. "I think I'll accompany you back to sickbay when you go, just to have it checked." She smiled, taking a moment while no one was looking to hold his hand. "I'll be okay." She smiled, wishing they could show their feelings for each other when they were working.

Tyson felt Aeryn's hand and he gently squeezed it as they walked out towards the medical bay. Perhaps Aeryn had some insight into the crew members coming back comatose, as she was now was experiencing some sort of contact headache from them. "We'll get you checked out."

Aeryn nodded and smiled. “Okay, Tyson.”
