Mission: New Moon Rising
Location: XO's Office

Nyx leaned over and pressed the door chime for Commander Glyndar's office, the high security PADD still in his hands. He looked to the Major with a quiet smile, wondering how he and the strong-minded Xenexian warrior would get along. Cookies didn't come tougher than Glyndar, or the Major for that matter - even with his soft spot for a certain pilot - so this would be an interesting meeting. Regardless, they had a mission at hand, and by the Major's mysterious comments it sure sounded like an intriguing one at that.

The First Officer had been standing in her quarters with a PADD already in hand, looking through an entirely unrelated matter when the door chime rang. The screen of the PADD dimmed, fading to black as she tossed it aside onto her desk among the small stack of work she had to catch up on. "Enter" she replied swiftly and stepped aside as the doors parted ways. She was met with the appearance of a rather striking man, a marine by the looks of him. They were more or less easy to identify even when they were out of uniform.

"Orders from Starfleet Intel," Nyx replied with eyebrows raised, waving the PADD with it's glowing-red high security message on screen. "Allow me to introduce our new Marine Chief, Major Leo Haliwell."

Janet welcomed the man in with a quick sweeping gesture of her hand. "Please, come in for a moment, Major" she added to her gesture.

Leo stepped into the office, keeping a pace behind the Captain. He paused as he was introduced, then stepped forward, extending a hand "A pleasure to meet you, Ma'am." he said briskly, no give away of thought or emotion on his face.

The First Officer nodded and greeted him. "An honor to have you aboard" she replied, taking his hand and shaking it rather firmly. She was about to say more when the man spoke.

"Let's get down to business," Nyx interjected, eager to see exactly what Star Fleet Intel had in store for the Pandora.

Business it is she thought to herself. Not that she had any complaints. All these parties and formalities were not really her forte. She quite preffered the business end of things.

He quickly typed his security clearance code into the PADD and once certified, the small screen changed to the criminal profile of an all-too-familiar face from his past. A smirking, deadly grin that was seared into Temple's mind. Without asking, he sat down on a nearby chair, eyes focused on the PADD and the dangerous man shown upon it.

"It's Tomar Gammit." He spoke, barely audibly, as he looked to the Major. "You're going to track down the monster that destroyed Lucis?"

Leo gave a firm nod, a solemn look on his face as he stood there at ease, his eyes darkening a little "Yes, Sir, We finally have to location for that scum, and my team are tasked with dealing with him, by any means necessary." he paused and breathed in deeply "I'd rather capture him alive, mind you."

Nyx snorted with a wry smile, "Best you handle it then, I'm likely to tear his head off if I get my hands on him."

Janet smirked a bit as she shot off a look of slight pleasure hearing the Commanding Officer speak as such. It was different than how her former Commanding Officers spoke. All of them were so filtered and proper, especially Merith. "Quite diplomatic of you, Sir" remarked the First Officer.

Nyx could only shrug, "The man deserve no mercy. He deliberately targeted schools, shopping districts, people's homes. Monster was too kind a word for him, he is pure evil."

'The croaking raven doth bellow for revenge,' he thought to himself dryly. But this wasn't a simple matter of seeking blood vengeance, or paying back what was inflicted upon Lucis. Tomar Gammit was a violent terrorist, hell-bent on inflicting pain upon the Federation for the losses of the Cardassians. It was their duty to bring this evil to justice, and prevent him from doing it once more.

The Captain looked at the intel again, "This information is likely to be old, especially with all the turbulence within the Expanse. Probably why he's hiding in there. I did my own research on him after Lucis fell, he was like a rat running through the sewers, almost impossible to catch. You'll have a hard time pinning him down."

"Even the fattest and foulest of rat have to surface eventually. They will need resources when the sewers run dry" the First Officer chimed in. She was intrigued by this. "Have any traps in mind to set up?" she asked.

It was Nyx's turn to shoot the XO a look of appreciation. "Yes. I like the way you think, Commander. No one would expect a scientific vessel to have a Marine attachment, Major you could use that to your advantage. Lure him in that way?"

The Major looked up and gave a short, almost dark chuckle as he reached up to slip his beret off "Captain, Ma'am, the Pandora IS the trap. My unit has never been officially recorded as being on board, and that little rat won't think that a scientific vessel would have such a large Marine complement." He paused and gave a careful smirk "Especially not a Special Operations team."

Nycolas practically slapped his knee with joy, "Well that just makes my day." He exclaimed. "We'll keep your presence low key until we can more accurately pin point his location."

Leo quickly nodded and gave a thin smirk "Oh, I am sure we can do low key, Sir." He paused as the Captain started speaking again.

"I want Ensign Griffin to be informed of the plan," Nyx said, "Although I have complete faith that your Marines will be able to handle Tomar, your departments should coordinate a plan of action should he take the bait. I don't want the Pandora or her crew coming to any harm."

Leo nodded sharply and stood tall "Aye Aye, Sir. I'll coordinate with Ensign Griffin, I personally don't want scum like Tomar to do any more harm."

"Very good," Temple replied with a nod, standing with the Major. "We cannot underestimate this man. He is ruthless and dangerous. Let's hope we catch him quickly and safely. If there's nothing else, we should get started."

"Good hunting, Major," Temple said, shaking his hand. "Thank you for your time, Commander Glyndar."

Leo nodded, and gave one last chuckle "Thank You, Sir. And I hope this hunt is fruitful, and the last we need to go on for this scum."

Temple and Halliwell left Commander Glyndar's office, as a sense of both foreboding and optimism fell over the Captain's mind. On one hand, it made an already dangerous journey just the more difficult. On the other, they would be doing the galaxy a favour by arresting this monster.

Above all else, he just hoped the Pandora was kept safe.
