Emilie Temple arrived on Deck 3 after leaving daughter Katrine at Daycare, a look of enthusiastic determination in her eyes. Having made the journey from Earth to the Pandora, and all the troubles now overcome, Emilie was looking for her next challenge. She certainly wasn't going to let Nyx have all the fun on the Pandora.

With a PADD in hand, detailing her years of experience as a teacher and leader on Lucis V, as well as her many academic credentials, Emilie made her way to the office of the ship's Chief Operations Officer, in the hopes of putting her skills to good use.

With that intention, she chimed happily on Commander Nash's office door.

Having finally sorted out the fun with the many consignments that came over from the Palatine for Lt Griffin, Owen had required back to his office to catch up on some paperwork. He looked up as he heard the door chime.

"Its open, come on in!" he answered, unsure of who to expect during shift hours.

"Greetings, Commander," Emilie smiled as she entered, "My name is Emilie Temple, I'm Nyx... uh the Captain's spouse. I was hoping you'd have a moment to discuss the possibility of myself taking a position onboard the ship?"

Owen smiled as he nodded to her and beckoned her in. "By all means come in and take a seat," Owen offered as he suggested a seat to her.

As he pulled up a PADD, Owen decided to ask the first question. "So, the best place to start is what Skills do you have and how could they be of use on board?" he asked as he opened up a list of available positions on board the Pandora.

"Well on my home world I was in the Education field," Emilie began, "I started off as a teacher and then went to the Administration side of the system, ended up in the Education department. Lucis - that was my planet - was a colony city of about two million, and we had around four hundred thousand students from kindergarten to vocational college."

"I love teaching but I find my strength is in organisation and administration," She shrugged, "I'm sure the Pandora has wonderful teachers already, but I was wondering if there was a place in heading the Education program onboard?"

Owen looked though his PADD of open positions on board and could see that whilst there was a school in operation on board the Pandora, there were only a few members of staff and that they had already sent several requests to him for more help.

"I can't see an issue with that at all," he replied as he typed in a few commands into his PADD. "When can you start?"

"I would like to make sure Katrine is settled in a little bit first," Emilie replied with a hopeful look, "But I can certainly start reviewing the current system and making some plans? Maybe see if there are some improvements that could be made?"

Owen smiled as he handed his PADD over to her. "Sign your thumbprint here and the jobs yours as soon as you want to start," he said. "I can certainly hold your start date off for a few days if that helps?" Owen offered.

"Thank you, I'd appreciate that," Emilie answered, though gave a shrug as she considered the reason, "Although it's not like Katrine will actually miss me. She's not two feet into the daycare before she's rushing off to play. But it will help me organise a schedule around her care and Nyx's main duties."

Owen smiled. "Ah yes, a wife often knows the best way to keep things around her husband organised," he said with a slight chuckle. "Start over the next fews days when you have everything in place and you need anything let me know," he said.

Emilie laughed, "That would be lovely, thank you again Commander." She shifted a little in her seat as she considered her next suggestion. "There was something else as well. Nyx has spoken often of how this is such a family-orientated and close-knit ship. I mean it's not often that the Captain can have his family on board, and I'm feeling a sense of responsibility to play a role apart from just helping the school. I was wondering if there was some way of assisting with crew morale or recreation activities?"

Owen nodded slowly as he understood her suggestion and took it on board.

"That sounds like something that could be integrated on board," he answered. Taking a moment, he continued. "As your aware, we're a long term exploration vessel so anything that help the crew unwind and relax without the need to detour to a starbase is a good thing."

"Have a think about what ideas and activities you could make work on board and let me know if you need anything to help with setting them up," he said, approving of her idea.

"Wonderful," Emilie beamed proudly, giving a little fist pump, "Thank you for your time, Commander, I hope to do my best to serve the Pandora and her crew."

After bidding Nash farewell, Emilie practically jogged out of his office and into the corridor - she was so enthused with ideas and excitement for the possibilities ahead. She was determined to make the Pandora her home, and was thrilled at the chance to be a participating member of the crew.
