Helping as best as she could Krysia moved to the conference room with James, looking around she organised the seating into areas leaving space for anyone who might need to lie down not that they'd be able to replicate any blankets at the moment. She turned to James "It's basic but it's the best we can do for now, better than not having anywhere, now we just have to hope we've got someone with medical training to run this temporary sickbay."
Smith nodded. “I’ll have to look over the manifest and see if we have any medical personnel left or if someone has medical training. I have some but not enough if a emergency arises.” James looked over at Krysia while going over a list of crew members who had been brought in for treatment.
Krysia took a moment to sit in one of the chairs, her head was aching and she wasn't feeling one hundred percent herself if anything she felt a little sick. "Mind if I sit here and assist Lieutenant Fick with organizing the rations when he arrives?"
“Please sit, and I’ll take care of what needs to be done around the room." James looked at her and knew she wasn’t looking well. Kneeling next to Krysia he said, “Are you ok, or should you lie down for a bit.”
She was just about to answer James' question when the doors swished open and Fick walked in loaded with everything he could just about carry along with Ensign Veers "Need a hand?" Krysia smiled as she motioned to the empty conference table. "Just put it all on here and I'll help you organise what we’ve got."
Fick dropped the armload of supplies on the table and then sort of lay on top of the table for a moment, trying to catch his breath.
"Sorry it took so long," Sasha commented as the two entered, "Turns out trying to carry supplies and climb down a jefferies tube at the same time is rather difficult."
Fick straightened up. "We brought the med kits too from the pods. Figured we could use those supplies as well. I also grabbed medical stuff from one of the supply lockers." He started to pull things from his pockets and set them on the table as well.
Krysia smiled, “Maybe we should try and find something to carry things in next time.”
“Agreed, but we will have to look around and see what we can use.”
Fick snorted. "It's not like you gave me any time to look for anything. Apparently, you just wanted to make multiple trips."
Sasha furrowed her brow, "Oh, well, I had to leave some on the midway level; I'll just go grab it." The young Trill quickly disappeared back into the corridor. Only a few moments later, the doors opened again and Sasha reappeared with her arms full of rations. "Ugh, the hatchway closed behind me in the jefferies tube. It took ages for me to open it again, thought I was going to get stuck in there."
“We can’t have that happening every time someone needs to get here.” She looked at James. “Next time I go through I’ll have a look at the hatch, if there’s a problem I’ll try and Jerry-rig it open so that we can come and go easily.”
"Sounds like a plan," Sasha replied. "I don't want anyone else getting stuck in there for twenty minutes."
"Agreed it's not the best especially with wounded being brought here," Krysia smiled.
Getting up from her seat Krysia looked around, the area was basic at best but at least it was easy enough to set up different areas for levels of treatment needed with the conference table a handy space if anyone needed surgery for any reason. She turned her attention to what Vieers had said, "I'll go have a look at that hatch, we need to make sure it's in good working order."
"I'm no good at the mechanical stuff." Sasha replied, giving a more flippant response than she might normally. Given the circumstances she was feeling less of the need to be so formal as she usually would be. "Though I can help with Medical treatments, until someone from the other kind of Teal shirts shows up."
Smith looked at Sasha he was feeling much the same way. In a softer tone he said, “Do what you can Ensign, if you need any additional help let me know.”
Making her way down the Jefferies tube Krysia reached the hatch, fortunately it was still open but she could see the problem Vieers had mentioned the hatch locking mechanism was showing signs of some previous damage that obviously hadn't been reported. Not having tools handy all she could do for now was latch the doors open and hope they stayed that way, with that she made her way back.
“I can see what you mean about those doors.” She took a seat. “There’s some old damage that’s been missed during repairs. I’ve latched the hatch doors open for now to try and stop the problem.”
Sasha furrowed her brow, she had barely moved from when Kaleri had exited the room. "My, you are fast." She thought about that for a moment before shaking her head.
Krysia sighed as she pulled her chair up at the conference table and put her head down on her arms, she had a headache about the size of the conference table and felt queasy too, she definitely wasn't going to be crawling through the Jeffries tubes again for a little while. She only lifted her head when James came round from where he'd been, "I might just take you up on that offer of having a lie down" she offered a brief smile and put her head back down on her arms.
Smith approached Krysia and placed his hand on her shoulder, “There’s a empty bed over in the corner, please lay down for a bit. We’ve all been shaken up, but the Captain needs everyone at peak condition.”
Krysia lifted her head and smiled, "I'll do that in a minute, right now I feel more useful being over here rather than curled up in a corner."
After working on preparing the medical equipment for a while, Ensign Vieers was soon noticing a strange anomaly in the readings and approached Kaleri and Smith with two tricorders. "Lieutenants? I think we have a problem here. This medical tricorder from the Bridge escape pods is showing a completely different time on the chronometer than this tricorder we gained from Deck Two. Not only that, but the Bridge one seems to counting time very slowly, while the Deck 2 scanner is faster." She held them both up to show the others.
Krysia lifted her head off the conference table to look at the readings Vieers was showing them, "That's not right... there has to be something wrong with them."
Smith shook his head as he went over the readings from both tricorders, and said, “Nyx needs to be notified, if time is different on each deck, we need to figure out how fast or slow time is moving and how it could be affecting our bodies.”
"I thought at first they were both just damaged, but that's not all," Vieers continued. "I got stuck in the jeffries tubes between Deck one and two for twenty minutes and none of you noticed. When I came back in, it was like no time at all had passed. And then, Kaleri you went, fixed the hatch then returned in like... one minute? Either you're incredibly fast or something else is going on here."
Krysia paused, Vieers was right she'd been gone for longer than one minute probably more like the twenty that Vieers herself had been stuck there for earlier. "Has anyone on Deck 3 returned as yet I wonder... It would be interesting to see what readouts of time they've got." With that she put her head back down on her arms on the conference table.
Smith looked at the list of personnel that had reported in. Checking the list again he said, “ No one from Deck 3 has reported to me, any idea who was on that deck when the wave hit.”
"We didn't find anyone when Brennan and I were there." Sasha answered, "But we didn't go to any of the muster points, only the service tubes."
Krysia raised her head for a minute."If we had functioning internal scanners I could tell you but right now the only ones we have are in my head.." she grinned, "...and even if I was up to it I couldn't be that precise." Getting up from her seat she decided discretion was the better part of valour, motioning her intention to James she headed over to one of the makeshift beds and lay down. She needed to clear her head and with a concussion the only way to do that was to rest.
"Looks like we'll have to do things manually," Sasha replied. "Fick, how about you and I check for people and bring them up here?"
"Sure. Not like I've got anything better to do with no power..." Fick replied.
"We'll be back soon," Sasha said to the others, then shrugged. "Well... hopefully."
