Owen walked over to Ensign Borozovic at the helm to make sure she understood his orders very clearly. "Ensign, hold this position and keep thrusters at Station Keeping, is that clear?" he asked her.

"Very clear, Captain," the Russian Helm Officer responded. Now that he knew the ship wasn't going anywhere as Mindo began work in Transporter Room One. He wanted to make sure that this newest hope for the lost crew was given the highest priority.

With this priority in mind, Owen looked over at Aeryn. He suddenly had a need for her specific abilities in the Transporter Room. "Lieutenant Jameson, please accompany me," Owen ordered as he headed for the Turbolift. Looking over at Parrino, Owen made his next sentence clear.

Aeryn looked at Owen. "Aye, Sir." She stood and followed him to the turbolift.

"Lieutenant Parrino, you have the Bridge," he instructed. "The moment you get a hail from either Rear Admiral Li or Captain Rao on the Palatine, I want to know about it."

Entering the Turbolift with Aeryn, Owen signalled it to proceed to Deck Five where the Main Transporter Buffers are housed. Once the Turbolift made its way down, Owen tapped his combadge. =/\="Commander Nash to Doctor Brookes, please have a medical team on standby in Transporter Room One. I'll explain why very soon,"=/\= he ordered.

"Copy that Commander," Tyson replied from the med bay.

Looking over at Aeryn, Owen was very frank and honest. "Counselor, as we believe that the Bridge crew are trapped inside the Main Transporter Buffer, I need you to see if you pick up on anything at all from them... the slightest hint of life or a signal... anything," he said. "We need to get them out and I need as much help as possible."

"I'll do what I can Commander." Aeryn leaned against the wall of the turbolift. "I can't promise anything though. I've never done anything like this before."

"Excellent," Owen said nodding.

As soon as he received notice to meet in the Transporter room, Lieutenant Eiri Ashshy stopped what he was doing and made his way there as quickly as possible.

Meeting in the Transporter Room, Tyson was suited up with Emergency Med Kits and extra personnel. He still had no idea what was going on and was hesitant as to what kind of medical intervention was necessary here.

Owen and Aeryn arrived on Deck Five where the Main Transporter Buffers are housed. Once they arrived, he found Mindo and he team feverishly working away

"How's it going?" he asked, seeing his team working away at the various circuits and ODN accesses.

Mindo had been laying underneath the transporter control consoles, tools in hand with various swear words and grunts of frustration. Upon hearing Owen's voice, he immediately stopped what he was doing (or trying to do anyways) and got up.

"There is nothing wrong with the transporter buffer that I can find. Yet it still reads as completely full. Something or someone, most likely several somethings or someones, is locked in there. I'm trying to find a way to scan what's there but the readings are all off, and I don't want to do anything to erase or harm whatever is currently trapped inside. I don't need to remind you of the safety risks in simply beaming them aboard." Mindo glanced over to Aeryn. "Good, you brought the psychic. Maybe she can help."

"Need I remind you I'm not psychic." Aeryn grinned as she looked at Mindo. "But I'll do my best to do... what?" She looked at Owen.

Eiri stepped through the door of the transporter room and looked around, his face serious. "Commander, you requested my presence?" he asked of Owen.

Owen turned to both Eiri and Aeryn address her along with Mindo. "So the reason that you're both here is quite simply, to determine who or what is inside the Buffer," he explained. "As Lieutenant Mindo has explained, he has now way of knowing who or what is inside. I need you both to work together with your abilities to see what's going on in there."

Turning to Mindo, Owen knew he now had a big ask of his friend and XO. "Mindo, I need you to trust me. Should Aeryn discover the missing crew members in there, I want you to beam them out as safely as possible," he explained.

"I know the risks we're taking, so let me make this clear... This is on me. This is my call. No one here will be held accountable for anything going wrong," he explained very clearly. "Part of being in a red uniform is knowing when to say the buck stops with me. It does here."

Eiri nodded. "I understand, Commander. However, we could have refused as well." He stepped closer to the piece of equipment. "I hate to say this... but I am not an engineer. Which is the buffer?" Eiri asked of Mindo.

Mindo pointed to the console on the adjacent wall. "The primary buffer panel is right there. I can monitor the buffer from here at the control station." He nodded to the blue ape-like, beaked officer in an Engineering uniform. "Chief Greep here can provide any assistance you may need there."

"Can I make a suggestion?" Aeryn looked at Owen. "if you're believing our people are in there can you transport me but hold my pattern for a few seconds before bringing me back? I don't even know if it's possible to sense that way but it would add my pattern to the buffer temporarily wouldn't it?"

"Whilst I understand the thinking of your idea, I'm afraid that we would run the risk of losing you as well," Owen explained. "With the Transporter Buffer holding patterns currently, there's no point adding to them. Ideally what I need you to do is see if your senses can pick up anything that points out the missing crew members are inside... If so, we can then beam them out of the buffer into Transporter Room One."

"I can try." Aeryn looked at Eiri and walked over to join him. "Just point out where we..." She paused for a moment as something 'tickled' her senses. "Did you feel that?" She looked at Eiri curiously.

"Which that?" Eiri asked, as he stepped closer to the panel that Lieutenant Mindo had indicated. "I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to sense anything, but I will try. I'm worried that the patterns, having been converted for computer storage... and don't have what I need to be able to sense them like that." He frowned. "I've never tried to read the mind or emotions of a computer..." He lifted an eyebrow and put one hand on the buffer.

"Something... I felt something." She placed her hand where Eiri was placing his, letting her Betazoid senses delve into the buffer. "There's something..." Her senses connected with the powerful emotion of a suicide about to happen. Moments later she screamed and crumpled into a heap on the floor.

Owen looked over at Eiri. "Dr, are you reading anything inside?" he asked, wondering if the more powerful of the two Empaths was sensing anything.

Eiri's eyes were closed and his brow furrowed. "There are many minds..." he said softly. "And... a rather profound sense of loss." He opened his eyes, but didn't take his hand off the buffer. Will the Lieutenant be alright?" He didn't want to move and lose the connection just yet, although he was alarmed about what had happened to Aeryn. "Our missing crew is here, Commander," Eiri said, meaning that they were indeed contained in the buffer. "But... something... I don't know how to explain it. What is trapped in the buffer is... not complete."

Setting a knee to the floor, he withdrew his medical tricorder, powering it. Tyson scanned Lieutenant JG Jameson, his eyebrows furrowing. He placed a hand on her forehead and neck. "She passed out. Her medical scan shows some sort of energy fed off her within the buffers."

Owen looked at Aeryn laying on the floor as Brookes checked her over and hoped she was okay. He was also concerned about Eiri as well hoping he was okay. Looking over at Mindo, he made his next order clear. "Lieutenant, make every effort to transport the contents of the Transporter Buffer to Transporter Room One," he ordered. "This is a top priority."

Mindo nodded as he manned the controls. "It may take a little longer," he said. "I'm still working on separating the chronitrons from the crew's atoms. If I can do this, the crew will be fine, but could be very dazed or even unconscious after transport."

Aeryn stirred with a groan her head felt like a lead balloon she looked up at Tyson from where she was lying, “Hi doc.” She smiled warmly. “I... hope I didn’t... scare anyone.”

Tyson let a grin. He was pleased her humor was okay. His tricorder scanned the essentials. Aeryn's brain activity had been absent for 1.3 microseconds, a textbook case of passing out. The transporter energy influence would be a stimulus to study another time in the medical bay.

"The Lieutenant is well." He informed of Aeryn's condition to the Commander which he could clearly see his self.

Setting up a triage of never ending medical bay hover carts, Tyson had them at the ready. The Pandora most likely would have its energy and transporter resources focused on the Transporter Buffers. "We have no idea what to expect. Have your most basic kit serums ready med team."

Owen nodded feeling a moment of preparedness amongst everyone. After trying to figure out what had happened to the crew, they now seemed so close. Suddenly the threat of Admiral Li's timeframe didn't seem so much of a concern.

Owen looked over at Mindo. "Do it."

Aeryn stood up albeit a little shakily "Commander I'd urge caution what I felt in there..." She shook her head. "...it wasn't pleasant, I don't know exactly what's going on or how, but what I felt was..." she massaged her temples, "...not good."

Mindo sighed. "Whatever's in there will come back in a catatonic state. If a Klingon Ta'arg materializes on the pad, it's going to be in a deep sleep. So we, the people out here, will be safe regardless. Now, does anyone else want to question my competency on caution while working a machine I'm specifically trained to know everything about? Does anyone else have any more reasons for me to remember to take caution? Good. Now everyone shut up and let me do my job!"

With a (slightly) apologetic look at Owen, Mindo pushed the panel's sliders up and began - carefully - converting the life forms in the buffer into matter on the transporter pad. He was careful to go one at a time, monitoring any troublesome chronitron clusters and stray particles to get the crew back whole and safe.

Eiri slowly removed his hand from the panel and stepped away from the buffer. "The particles inside the buffer are moving very quickly. The moment that Lieutenant Jameson reacted to passed very quickly... to be replaced by split seconds of other feelings."

In the emptiness of the transporter pads there came a single blue speck of light. It hung tantalising in the air, like a small beam of hope. Soon it was followed by another, this one stronger and brighter. More came, speck by speck into existence as Mindo carefully reconfigured the millions of particles back into whole forms. Slowly they began to take the shape of body - arms, legs, a head. Before their eyes a person was being brought back into existence and Mindo's precise calculations and deft skills were making it happen.

Owen smiled as much as he could let on. "Nice work Mr Mindo," he said, watching as the process neared completion.

After what felt like a lifetime, the transporter process was near completion and the watching crew waited with baited breaths as clear features began to form. Dark hair, a built male frame, long legs. The uniform was black with yellow... no, orange... No, red shoulders. Finally there was a bright gleam from the millions of little specks coming together which quickly faded away and there on the pad lay the unconscious body of Captain Nycolas Temple.

Owen wanted to jump for joy as he saw his friend and CO complete on the Transporter Pad, however there was time for that later. "Doctor, if you please," he ordered. Looking over at Mindo, Owen continued, "Mindo, start bringing the other crew members back as well, please."

Finally, there was progress and the strong likelihood that the Pandora would find her missing crew again.
