With the Ravager's captain down and the Bridge now in Starfleet's hands, the Pandora had seized the day. However, her victory was not yet complete. There was still the matter of the remaining Ravagers on the Carnage, hiding and attempting to escape, and a necessary debriefing with the undercover team, who had somehow snatched the power out of the Ravager's hands at the last moment. Having lowered the Carnage's transporter blocks, Nyx eased himself into a chair and awaited the boarding team. Nearby, Balek the Butcher remained wounded and seething on the floor, incapacitated by Tisar's well placed arrow shot but still with eyes filled with murderous rage.
As the boarding team from the Pandora finally arrived, Nyx was relieved to be finally getting some medical attention on his injured leg. Though not as grateful as he was now that Balek was being sedated into silence. Security filtered across as well, undoubtedly expertly trained and prepared by Griffin to carry out a full sweep of the Carnage for any remaining Ravagers attempting escape. There was hope now, that this frightful day would soon be over.
Shae was eager to return to the Pandora with the Captain safe and sound; the ship was being secured, now all that was left was to rendezvous with Nyx so they could get out of here. When the lift to the Bridge finally stopped and opened its doors, Shae finally released a small sigh of relief upon seeing Nyx, alive and well. Or mostly well, at the very least he didn't seem fatally injured... Shae filed out of the lift with T'Kemi and Smith in tow.
"Captain, good to see that this suicide mission of yours was not successful in claiming your life," said the cold 'human' woman bearing the face of the warm and caring Astrophysicist he had come to call friend.
Smith entered the bridge behind Shae, and noticed the Captain and smiled when he saw his old friend was ok. Reaching out to grab his hand Smith said, “Ship is secure sir, there’s a few stragglers but the security team should have them soon.”
Nyx spun around at the familiar voice and a look of absolute confusion came over his face. "Shae... Uh, Lieutenant Brennan, what are you doing here?"
Shae's eyes narrowed dubiously at his question. "You called for me," Shae declared simply in return.
The Captain wasn't sure if it was the pain in his leg or the events of the day that were causing him to misunderstand Shae's plainly stated response, but he could only shake his head. "But where did you come from? You weren't on the scout."
"You really don't want to know," Shae said with a hint of a smirk. "Oh, before I forget, here," she added, offering him a thin tricorder; the theatrics of the self-destruct earlier had been her doing, but they had never been in any real danger, although what Nyx held now was most certainly dangerous, the real arming and detonation sequence for the Carnage's self destruct, instant carnage in the palm of his hand.
Nyx looked at the object in his hand and although he wanted to be relieved, he was still feeling uncertain about this revelation and Shae's presence. He looked back up to her and nodded, "Then I guess we have a lot to thank you for Lieutenant. But we are going to need to talk about how and why you're here later."
"Yes sir," Shae replied simply, offering a small nod his way.
The Captain looked around to the group before him and managed a deflated smile. "You all did incredibly difficult work today. It's more than I what I should have asked of you. But we have managed to save the planet Salvaxe from being discovered and raided by the Ravagers, and we have stopped an incredibly deadly ship from operating in this region. There will be promotions and commendations to come out of today, but that's for another time. Right now, we still have a job to do."

Tobias sat comfortably as the Vesta Class starship had finally made its way to the Pandora, however the sight on the viewscreen filled him with concern. A Ravager vessel, he suspected to be the Carnage, was in close proximity to the Pandora and both ships had clear battle damage and scars.
Tobias nodded to the Operations Officer who opened a channel to the Pandora. "Palatine to Pandora, this is Captain Rao... Do you require assistance?" He asked, prepared to take his ship.into battle.
The Palatine’s viewscreen snapped on to reveal the smaller Bridge of the Pandora, with the reassuring presence of Starfleet officers at the consoles rather than victorious Ravagers. There was, however, no sign of Captain Temple or Commander Nash. Instead it was the Pandora’s Chief of Security and Chief Engineer who stood duty on the Bridge, and the taller lieutenant wasted no time in replying from where they stood at the aft consoles.
“Yes, sir, we do,” Lieutenant Griffin said curtly to Rao. “We have crippled the Ravager ship and are currently conducting boarding operations to secure the pirates, but we don’t have enough security personnel to properly sweep a ship of that size. I respectfully request that you send reinforcements over.”
Tobias nodded as he understood the situation. He looked over at his Vulcan Security Chief before giving further orders. "Commander Tolaris, send over several Security teams to the Pandora, however people the Lieutenant needs, give them to him," he ordered. Tolaris nodded as he made the necessary arrangements.
Tobias returned to face the viewscreen and the image of Lieutenant Griffin. "Commander Tolaris will arrange sending over the Security teams to you so that you can have them deployed where needed," he explained. "Oh, by the way we have some Pandora crew on board including your new Chief Ops Manager and your new Chief Medical Officer. I'll send them over as well... It looks like you can put them to work straight away," he offered.
“They’ll be welcome, sir,” Lieutenant Griffin answered politely. “Captain Temple is on the Carnage and has its captain in custody. We’ll coordinate with your security chief during boarding ops. Pandora out.”
Krysia walked out of the turbolift and onto the bridge just in time to hear Rao mentioning about sending Tyson & herself over to their new home. Walking over to where she could see the viewscreen she could see the status of the Pandora and the other ship nearby, it certainly looked like she'd be kept busy once she got onboard.
Tobias looked over from his seat on the bridge and noticed Lieutenant Kaleri waiting there. "Lieutenant, your time has come," he started. "Join Mr Brookes and both of you accompany the Security Teams to the Pandora... I believe your new assignment is in need of some repair..."
"Yes Sir," Krysia smiled, "Thank you Captain." As she headed for the turbolift she tapped her comm badge, =/\= "Kaleri to Brookes, time for us to leave the Pandora awaits I'm enroute to join the security teams I'll meet you there." =/\=

Back on the Pandora, Cailus frowned as the viewscreen clicked off, returning to its view of the Carnage close by. He turned to Mindo, who was hovering next to him on his LEGs.
“An engineering question, lieutenant,” he asked the Fesarian quietly, plainly disgruntled as he crossed his arms. “How does a starship with a quantum slipstream drive, which I’m told is capable of ridiculous FTL speeds far beyond our warp engines, still manage to arrive half an hour late for a battle?”
"Nothing is beyond my warp engines, Cailus," replied Mindo. "I'm hurt you'd even say such a thing."
A few minutes later Krysia and Tyson were standing aboard the Pandora. She smiled as she looked at Tyson before the two went their seperate ways. Heading to the bridge she stepped out of the turbolift and made her way across to Cailus.
"Lieutenant Kaleri reporting for duty Lieutenant"
Cailus nodded at the new Ops Chief as she reported, then frowned, some errant instinct niggling the back of his mind. Something about her features, the look in her eyes...what was that? Realising that more pressing matters were at hand, Cailus shook his head to clear it.
“Welcome aboard, Lieutenant,” he said with his usual clipped tone, eyeing the woman dispassionately. “I am Lieutenant Griffin, Chief of Security.” Cailus indicated Mindo with a jerk of his head. “Lieutenant Mindo, Chief Engineer.”
"A pleasure Lieutenant" Krysia nodded to Mindo.
Mindo looked up from his current position at tactical and gave a nod.
Krysia turned to look at Cailus "I've no doubt there's plenty that needs to be done both, I'd like to get stuck into my duties" she smiled, "one more thing is Commander Nash here?"
Mindo responded, but kept his eyes locked on the tactical display. "Nash is elsewhere," he said. "Take a seat next to Ensign Fick over there."
Krysia nodded, "Thank you" she moved across to Ops to take over and check out what needed to be done. She hadn't been there long before Fick was called away, watching him depart she nodded politely to the crew member ho take his place. She turned her attention back to Ops, all in all the ship wasn't in too bad a state but repairs were definitely needed, she had no doubt engineering had their hands full She tapped the screen as she organised damage control to where they were needed to start, for now the priority was getting the crew back together again.

Nyx was watching the medics as they tended to his leg wound. Although they could auto-suture the wound, he knew there would be deeper damage done internally and he was thankful the new Chief Medical Officer would be onboard the Pandora when he returned. But he wasn't prepared to leave the Carnage just yet - there were still Ravagers left on the vessel and the problem of what to do about Balek the former Butcher.
The Captain looked to the others, "Frost, I need you and T'Kemi to root out the rest of the Ravagers. We know they use dampening fields and hidey-holes to disguise themselves, so it will take a long sweep of the vessel to find them all. Get on it."
The Security teams disappeared off the Bridge. "Brennan," Nyx turned to the Chief Science Officer, "We're going to scuttle the Carnage. I can't have it falling back into Ravager hands. Find a solution, use the Dark Matter if need be."
"The solution is already in your hand," Shae said to Nyx, pointing to the mini tricorder she had given him. "You could detonate the ship remotely with that," she informed him. "But towing the ship into the Dark Matter fields would work just as well; the gravametric undulations would tear it apart and the Dark Matter itself would leave very little in the way of debris behind."
Nyx raised his left eyebrow, passing a look between Shae and the device, "We'll do both. Send the ship into the dark matter and detonate it." There was a slight darkness to his tone, "I want every piece of this ship removed from existence."
"I'm going to look after Balek here until he's safe to transport to a prison cell on the Palatine." Nyx spoke, "And I'll see if I can download their database and ship's logs, it may help us discover if the rest of the Ravagers know about Salvaxe. Smith, I'll need you to find the computer core and get what you can too."
No sooner was Temple feeling like they had the situation under control, there was a noticeable shaking of the Carnage and a warning message rang out across the Bridge. Nyx looked over their archaic consoles and after struggling for a moment to figure out how to work it, found out the cause of their newest problem.
"The Ravager Scout just launched out of the shuttle bay. Looks like they shot through the bay doors." He answered gravely. "Some of the bandits have escaped."
They couldn't let the Ravager vessel get away - or worse, make contact with the rest of their Fleet. For once, the Captain was glad to have the dark matter nebula blocking their path back to the rest of the Expanse. However, with crews transferring between the Pandora and Palatine, and the pressing need to secure the Carnage still, they needed a quick solution. With urgent impatience, Nyx tapped his coms badge =/\= Temple to Fick. We have a rogue Ravager vessel escaping the area. I need you to lead the Starfighters and stop them."
=/\= Fick here Captain! You got it! Starfighters! YAY! Are we shooting them out of the sky or taking them prisoner? =/\= He wanted to ask because he had voiced killing the Ravagers before and got looks. At least if he asked then he would know, even if it might be a stupid question.
Nyx's eyes flickered over to Shae, his mind still dubious over her presence and her actions in taking out Engineering. He said very purposefully, =/\= Starfleet doesn't kill people. You will out-gun them considerably so I expect you to be able to disable the Scout and take them prisoner. =/\=
=/\= You got it Captain! Hostage it is! Fick out! =/\=
"Not quite over yet." Nyx sighed.
